Thinking of getting some bifocals contact lens so I can lose readers, any advice from you old grumpy men ....or the resident eye dr
Lol....Not much help here but I would stay away from the liberal brand because your view will become irrational.
I had lasik 20 years ago. I still need readers but I can put drops into my eyes at any time and with my allergies and that I love to play golf, that was a no brainer.Thinking of getting some bifocals contact lens so I can lose readers, any advice from you old grumpy men ....or the resident eye dr
How is your depth perception? They can do that with lasik but it is not permanent from what I understand.I have never tried bifocals in contacts. My vision isn’t too bad, just need a little help in bringing things into crispness and clarity at distances. The contacts did that fabulously, however, a few years ago, I started having difficulty reading and seeing things close. So my eye doctor suggested only wearing one contact, in my right eye, that is the eye I use for sighting down the barrel and shooting. Now I only wear one contact in my right eye and don’t wear one in my left. I still see good at distances and it helped with my up close vision.....but still need readers from time to time.
Just another option to consider if your far vision isn’t too bad.
Go to Wal Mart and let them fix you right up.Thinking of getting some bifocals contact lens so I can lose readers, any advice from you old grumpy men ....or the resident eye dr

It's been years since I went. I've been a bad boy.Decent but not great. I assumed most of the drop off was due to aging.
I should say to roadtrash, regardless of what you do, consult your eye doctor.
By using the two different types does it mess with depth perception?I have bifocal contacts. One eye (left eye) is set for distance and my right eye (for reading). It takes a little getting used to but works fine for me.
My dr gave me a 2-week trial with them before I had to buy a bunch...which I use dailies as I sometimes just stick with glasses or nothing if my allergies are kicking up.
Hopefully, you are not a drinker. It is rather difficult to put those things in on bloodshot eyes. Wife had co-teacher associate who had - one eye distance and other bifocal. Said she never really had problem with adjusting to lens, just train yourself to look out of the appropriate eye.I appreciate the feedback , I'm going to find a eye dr here in Mechanicsburg pa & see what he says ...i really want to try them , if for nothing else just being out & able to read a menu. Lol...im tired of forgetting my glasses & just ordering the special with no mayo...
