Need a starkville restaurant suggestion

Taking the in-laws out friday night. What are the newer restaurants that I should consider?

Well, since Bulldog Bash is going on, I would avoid the CD.

What's your price point? If it's under $19, you should be fine**

Dang, completely forgot bulldog bash was going on. Is the camp house any good? Seems like it will be far enough away from the cotton district.

Yes its good. Some bar foods, some higher end items (steak). Usually have good specials and good beer selection.

Anthony's in West Point

Avoid the Starkville Bulldog Bash thing. Go to Anthony's or eat in Columbus. Anthony's is 15 miles from Starkville and they have a great menu.

If you opt to dine in Starkville, then I'd choose the Veranda or Harvey's. Both would avoid the chaos the Cotton District will probably be.

One more vote for Anthony's, but...

make sure to call ahead and reserve a table. My wife and I went a couple of weeks ago and didn't think to call ahead. We waited for nearly 30 minutes for a table even though there were plenty of open ones. In fact, a couple were open the entire time we were there but were being held for reservations.

If Anthony's is booked try Hucks in Columbus. Auburn will be eating somewhere in Columbus so you'll want to avoid that unless they cater their meal to The Ramada

Anthony's has a pretty good beer selection too. It's not on the menu but order the ribeye with crawfish sauce, one of the best steaks I have ever had.

FYI, The Bash has moved back to last year's location. Stage will be setup in front of Bulldog Burger. The Camphouse is still too close to consider. Cappe's is a good option.

I haven't heard it either, last I saw it was @ intersection of Nash/University in front of Coconuts
