Pretty soft, especially considering who's joining us in the Cayman Islands

Going to need to play well in conference to get that BPI/KenPom up if we're going to be an at-large

Regardless, very excited to see the new-look Hoiskers!

Georgetown, Georgia Tech and Creighton are the most notable challenges.

Hope we play 2 conference games after we play Creighton between December 8th and December 20th.

It's about cohesion and confidence early. Perfect slate to do both (especially adding in the August trip to Italy), even if it doesn't include a lot of big names.

Underwhelming, but will help build chemistry. Don’t need them losing confidence before they even enter conference play.

I don’t remember the types of noncon Hoiberg had at ISU?

We are playing a school named after back pain medication - Doane??? Had to look them up because I never heard of them (Crete, NE). This should be like the Globetrotters vs the Generals.

Would have been nice to play Hastings, Concordia, or Midland if we were playing a small NE school to get some work.

Didn’t you know that one of the greatest players ever at Nebraska coached there for two seasons?

Yikes. Not a lot to get excited about there, but it fine for a first year program with a new roster. What we don't want is a Doc Sadler/Tim Miles deal where they are continuing to schedule winning seasons on into year two and three.

Kind of disappointing, though, because it's not like anyone's really going to care that much about the W-L record this year. Would prefer to see them take some lumps in the non-conference to get ready for Big Ten play.
