Stats showed the Michigan game was winnable and it almost happened. This week? Nebraska should be favored by a decent margin.

One could argue this is PJ's weakest team at MN and that is not good news for his future at MN.

Total offense: Nebraska 11th nationally, Minnesota 109th nationally.
Total Defense: Minnesota 30th nationally, Nebraska 43rd.

Total offensive ranking for teams that Minnesota has faced:
Ohio State: #1 nationally
Miami of Ohio: 79th nationally
Colorado: 129th nationally
Bowling Green: 123rd nationally
Purdue: 57th nationally

And Minnesota lost to Bowling Green two games ago. The 30th D ranking for Minnesota is misleading based on who they have played.

MN ranks high nationally in redzone offense but getting there is their problem. But Nebraska has one of the better defense points per game rankings in the country, only giving up 17 points per game after 7 games. MN is giving up 19 points per game.

Nebraska SHOULD win this game by two TD's or more.

Nebraska is tied for 2nd in the country in rushing TD's. Yes that is some due to having played 1 more game then most teams and some teams 2 games, but still, 21 rushing TD's is 2nd best nationally and once you get down to the teams ranked in the 20's is only 14ish number for rushing TD's.

Minnesota comes into this game 3-2 while Nebraska is 3-4, but when you study the stats Nebraska is a far better team.

Minnesota has some major issues in some areas and none of their strengths surpass Nebraska by any big margin.

Where Nebraska is mentally after Michigan is critical. If the staff and players fall into a funk this week of practice, it will show against Minnesota. I tend to believe that they will rise up and be ready to win.

I thought you said recently that Minnesota would be favored and we would be lucky to win this game.

Nebraska opens up as a 3 pt favorite. A couple of pts lower than I would have assumed. That line should grow in Nebraska's favor.

ESPN FPI efficiency rankings (Offense/Defense/Special Teams)
Minnesota (72/51/56)
Nebraska (29/21/127)

Overall, the FPI has Nebraska as the 22nd best team in the country, and Minnesota at No. 55. Sounds about right. Time to put the hammer down on what seems to be, statistically at least, a lower-ranked team.

Dam those Special Teams, yikes. And that’s after two pretty solid weeks of ST play.

50.5. That is too low. Nebraska should score into the 30's unless they expect the MN offense to suck.

Minnesota will run the clock like Ioway does and snap the ball under 10 seconds or less..

They‘ll try and pound the ball down our throats all night and try and make some big pass plays with Morgan..

This is going to be a a defense gameday for our d-fence upper players.
Practice game for rb' and receivers We need to go bold on running to end this season. Iowa is the end game goal now everybody.

It won’t work for them if they try to do it at night, lol.

This is a big game for PJ, they played like crap last year, they suck this year including losing to a 31 point dog, he literally runs his RB's into the ground and Tan-Morg has gotten worse each season.

If PJ was looking for a "bigger" job, it is gone if this season keeps going bad.
