We will see what reality is on Saturday, but I see this game being a tight, tough-nosed game. The only major concerns have are twofold - will the OL play up to the level needed and can we go the game without any **** ups on special teams?

The defense has been consistent week-to-week for four weeks in a row and there isn't anything about the MI offense that should keep that from happening for 5 straight weeks. I expect MI to get some big plays and a few long drives with many rushing yards, but not consistently like MI was able to move the ball against WI.

MI has a great defense but they have not fashed a top 20 nationally statistic offense like Nebraska brings to this game.

Should be a great game and winnable.

You Frost lovers need to stop. He’s getting fired at the end of the year and being replaced by Jamey Chadwell or Klieman from K State.

Some posters just can’t face reality. That’s why I call them Frost lovers.

Michigan’s defense will show that our offensive line is still a work in progress. They will press us and force some stupid turnovers. Our defense will play well but will be on the field too much. Michigan wins a close one. Hope to God I am wrong

he made this score prediction 20 hours after posting "I don't think either will slow down the other's offense"

now MI won't move the ball consistently

@antirowboat might be an 8 year old girl with how often he changes his mind

I think we'll have mistakes that we can't recover from. I hope I'm wrong and I'll happily eat some crow if I'm wrong...

I am pleasantly surprised at how well we played last Saturday, even more so when you look at the demons Frost is dealing with behind the scenes (of his own doing)....it would have been easy to lose the team and yet he didn't. So who knows, maybe he has another rabbit up his sleeve.....but if i'm betting an amount of money that matters to me, I'm taking the enemy on this one....but I don't bet so it's easy for me to predict an NU win so that's what I'll do.

The defense still doesn't get any love. I do not see Mich. getting more than 13 points... The offense is the wild card in all this. If 2AM plays like he has the last 2 games, NU will score over 30, if he plays down to his past he will give UM 14 points... Wild a$$ guess

NU 24
UM 21 AM will gift them 7 points.

As much as I want to say Nebraska, I just can’t do it.

Our OLine improved last game, but this isn’t Northwestern. This pass rush is dangerous.

Nebraska will likely have at least two turnovers and a costly strip sack. However, we will be “in it” until the end.

Michigan 23 Nebraska 10 or 13. Depends if we miss another field goal.

Although my confidence is growing, Nebraska still hasn't beaten a good team and I fear Michigan in the trenches will control the game offensively and defensively. Nebraska still hasn't strung together back to back good/clean games yet in a few years, but if they do one of these weeks I may actually predict them to win.

I want to believe. I really do. But we’ve failed a number of times after thinking we turned the corner under Frost.

Although our past blowout wins have been followed up with good play.

Minnesota 2018 - Damn near beat Ohio State in Columbus, smoked Illinois, won a grinder against Sparty, lost at Iowa on last second FG. Man, now I’m remembering why we were so hyped about 2019 lol.

Maryland 2019 - Followed up with another dramatic, depressing loss to Iowa. But we did play well.

So maybe I’m starting to believe. Screw it.

Most overrated statistic in college football. It all starts with scoring O and scoring D. Nebraska gives up 12 points a game on defensive plays only (not counting the special teams bull **** over the season). Teams can get their yards, but nobody is able to consistently move or score on this defense for 4 weeks straight now. I think the defense forced Oklahoma to punt the ball 3 times in the first half.

MI will get yards and some scores, but not on a consistent drive-by-drive flow.

Michigan 37 Nebraska 17. Your OL hasn't been able to protect very well and the M Defense is pretty stout. Your defense is improving of late, but Michigan doesn't typically turn the ball over, so maybe 37 is too high. Just a gut feel.

I think this nails it. As much as I desperately want NU to win, I just don't see them avoiding some very costly mistakes in this one. BUT ... if we do avoid stupid penalties, turnovers, and special teams gaffes, then I think we will win.

Michigan is unproven but not untested.

I agree they have not played the toughest of schedules. Yet, they did do what they were supposed to do and they did it with good form. No miracle plays, no game changing calls just good old fashioned beat 'em down football.

The addition of Mike Macdonald as Michigan's new DC has added toughness and adaptability to the Wolverine defense. I think this is a good unit, maybe even very good. The defense has 2 INT's and 4 Fumbles Recovered and 13 sacks. LB Josh Ross, DB Dax Hill, DE Aidan Hutchinson & LB David Ojabo are the names you will hear.

Michigan's offense is an enigma to me. However, it is improving and Wisconsin is their best game to date, imo. Losing receiver Kenny Bell was a big blow and the other receivers have yet to really step up. Beloved legend now Coach Mike Hart has improved ball security amongst the running backs resulting in 0 Fumbles Lost and the QB's have thrown 1 INT. Not flashy, efficient.

The real surprise for Michigan this year has been the kicking game. Jake Moody is 23/23 on XPs and 89% on FGs making 8 of 9 with good range.

AM scares the hell out of me. Dynamic, fast. He is exactly the kind of dude that Michigan has struggled against since Donovon McNabb sliced and diced the Wolverines in Ann Arbor 1998. D looks stout. O-line looks questionable.

I think that Nebraska will put on a great show and the Husker faithful will provide a great crowd. I've read what many of you have said here about this game, I (and mine) see this as the most important game to date. I would not be surprised if many Michigan fans see it the same way.

I predict that Michigan's D will neutralize Nebraska's greatest advantage, AM rendering the Huskers second greatest advantage, home field moot. The Wolverine Kicking Game will be the difference.

Plus I'm a homer.

I too think our Defense continues to impress and will keep us in it...

Oline will be tested and Martinez will have to scramble... That said, we're at home and with a full house of receivers who have really come into their own as of late...

I have to believe Yant gets the nod this week after last weeks performance and hes a big dude that we'll need against that Defense...

Special Teams is my biggest concern and is going to have to step up in order for us to win...

I look for a LOW scoring game with both Defenses being the strength... going down to the wire

Total yds. is a barometer for the defense but doesn't tell the full story... The defense is allowing 15.5 pts. per game. If the defense gives up a ton of yds. but no pts., is it a bad defense? If you don't surrender points, the offense has to score fewer. If AM doesn't give UM 14 or more, I like their chances.

I'm genuinely curious... has Michigan faced much option football recently? if so, how did they do against that? as most can see we've been implementing more of this into our attack and I can see it potentially being a problem for Michigan...

I don't think that shows the real results of our defense. Our offensive OLine has been vastly inept, our special teams being quite likely the worst in the nation.....heck, our defense is forever living on the field.

Really? I know Oklahoma had a total of 9 possessions in the game and MSU had 3 in the second half.
