Nebraska reliever last night gets called in with game tied in the top of the 9th, runners on 1st and 2nd. Every fan in the stadium to the pig sooie for pitching changes like they do which has to be nerve racking as hell, Nebraska head coach says something to him, pitcher nods his head that he is ready. Walks a batter, wild pitch scores go ahead run. Then he gives up a 3 run blast as I am sure you have seen. Mayhem ensues.

Felt bad for him watching that... he was not ready

He got squeezed on a couple of pitches too, which compounded things.

.....and they were intimating that the strike zone was not at all where it had been the whole game. They were very complimentary of the umpire, but once they got those 2 outs it all went south in no time.

That is how intimidating a big crowd that is into the game can be at night. That is why I really wanted our SR to be night games. Instead, we get an afternoon game and then one at 5 o'clock. Wish they were all at 7:00.
