Nebraska has had 13 losses under HC Scott Frost. 7 have been by a td or less. 2 of those have been in over time. All of those 7 Nebraska has either been in it until that last few minutes or had the lead and lost it in the final few minutes. It really is unreal. The odds of that many close heartbreaking losses is insane. Do the coaches not know how to coach in closes games? Do the players crack under pressure. There is some consistent theme causing these close games to not go our way.

Honestly, there are a lot of teams who could make those claims.

Games are usually won or lost in the trenches. Nebraska is still able to get talented skill position players. Rebuild your offensive and defensive lines and the narrative flips.

This is rather a straw man argument. Even if 7 losses were by one score, that means 6 were by multiple scores. Usually by multiple multiple scores (Michigan, Ohio State, Minnesota). Just because we manage to stick around longer and keep the score respectable does not mean we are a winning team that happens to lose. Just means we are a losing team that cannot find ways to win.

Ryker Fyfe wins that game yesterday
Where is Tommy Armstrong when we need him?? That guy had his limitations, but boy could he compete!! He would have kicked some players in the a** and willed that team to victory.

A lot of the close games were to crappy teams. If we were even an above average team, a lot of those games shouldn't have even been close. If you allow a team to stay in the game, there's a good chance you'll lose. And with as many mistakes as we make in crunch time, there's a really good chance we lose those games.
