Thought I'd do a little research into the all-time series between the two. I broke it up into chunks of consecutive games that were played between the two. It does seem as though they really haven't played each other very often when both teams were good. According to sports-reference.com, they've never played each other when both were ranked at the same time.

1903-04: Nebraska 2-0
1908-09: Nebraska 1-0-1
1913-19: Nebraska 5-2
1930-34: Nebraska 4-1
1937-38: Nebraska 2-0
1940-46: Iowa 4-3
1979-82: Nebraska 3-1
1999-2000: Nebraska 2-0
2011-19: Iowa 6-3

Rankings when not playing (years and number of times each ended the season ranked during that span):
1947-1978: Iowa 4, Nebraska 15
1983-1998: Iowa 9, Nebraska 16
2001-2010: Iowa 5, Nebraska 5

Too bad they couldn't have played more between 1983-98 or 2001-10.

insecure? Sorry I stopped reading there... I’m not the one with a name insinuating that I’m a fan of a team that I’m not... I’d also ask you to please stop saying our as you are not a fan of the huskers that I can almost Guarantee...

I could care less if you’re hating on any fan base out not, and honestly I’m typically the first to give credit where credit it due, but what I don’t do (like you do) is go out of my way to try to research something to bring an opposing team to light... hey Iowa wins, great they played better, Colorado wins great they played better... I’m thoroughly for Iowa and their fans, the win the game today with what looked to be with ease...

It’s not me being insecure by calling you out... it’s Iowa fans, or Colorado fans constantly hanging around our board thumping their chest with their look what I did attitude after playing a game that we had no involvement in, or posting about how they do more with less on a husker board (which they do do, and I’ll give them credit there), all in an attempt to make sure we noticed them, that is the definition of insecure my friend(it seriously reminds me of the ol ex girlfriend that constantly needed reassurance) not being annoyed by pretenders...

Actually, you have it wrong.....I'm a Colorado fan posing as an Iowa fan posing as a Wisconsin fan posing as a UCF fan posing as an LSU fan pretending to be a Husker fan.

If you're going to wax conspiracy theories, at least get it it right.

And yes....you're insecure. I saw that you got all triggered on the thread addressing how Iowa beat USC with way less top recruits. I liked comments on there because they were, well, reality.
