It’s really not asking too much to beat a bad Nebraska team that fired its coach (a former well loved player) this season, in a Friday night home game, in year three of our head coach’s tenure. It’s not asking much at all. They ask for our money, our time, our loyalty, etc. We’re not demanding National championships. Just win a Big Ten home game against a name program, finish 6-5, go to a bowl game, any bowl game.

It's very tough to win a game when the refs are against you.
B1G refs are always awful, they live up to their reputation almost every game. However, Rutgers lost this game by not being able to move the ball in the second half and kick one lousy field goal. The refs didn't stop Rutgers on every possession in the second half.

Cry me a river. They made bad calls for both teams. Good teams overcome them and don't quit at halftime because of it
Not crying any river. Rutgers crapped the bed in the second half. If I didnt want to be nauseous, I'd rewatch the questionable penalties. From the responses here, they didnt seem to be as bad as I thought they were. Other than the OPI.

The bad penalties should've never mattered.

The game was being handed to us in the first half and we only scored 13 points.
And then a complete failure to score any points at all. NONE.

Completely unacceptable that we have an offensive product that scores 1 TD against the worst team in the league.

*Second worse team in the league.

Why do we always seem to come out of halftime unprepared and with no urgency? We all knew we were in trouble seeing Nebraska come out and drive down the field, with no response. It’s a recurring theme.
