Nebraska game

I have attended a couple games in Lincoln, Got my tix through a friend that is a Nebraska grad so can’t help you with info on tix. Unlike the banter on message boards the Nebraska folks were great to tailgate with and had no issues in regard to being a Hawk fan in enemy territory. Hope you enjoy the game!
Iowa games in Lincoln are great, I hate to say it. Fans are welcoming and it’s just a very good atmosphere.

Hey Scott559......yes! My daughter attended U. of Iowa. The game was in Iowa City. She had a student ticket but, I decided I did not want to 'pay thru the nose' for a ticket. So I walked a few blocks and went to Buffalo Wild Wings, (if I remember correctly) to catch it on tv. The place was packed, so I was just standing and watching the game (with my favorite drink). There was a table of Nebraska fans nearby, they had a couple of empty chairs. They invited me to sit with them....and they were incredibly nice....unlike the Message Board. We actually had a good time. Believe me, they have their share of problems concerning their team, as we do ours...lol. Go Hawks!
Have been to the last 3 in Lincoln. Great place to watch a game and cheer for the visiting team.
"Iowa fans taking over the stadium"??? I would be surprised if you could even find your way to Lincoln.
Iowa never has and never will take over Nebraska's stadium.

Too easy. West on I-80, once you reach the west side of Omaha roll the windows down. The smell gets stronger until you get to Lincoln. You know you are in Lincoln when you get out of the car and step in it.
That smell you smell is 5 national titles....not that you would recognize that smell. Go Big Red! BTW...hows your quarterback feeling today?

Agree with hexumhawk - I lived a year in Lincoln and attended football basketball and wrestling - never got hassled - like most REAL college fans in real life, they were all good sports - I think the internet allows people to get insane and rude due to noone knowing who they are - most Nebraska fans are good like Hawk fans, we are all just passionate about our teams

You should stop living in the past BigRed Dumalition - if you look since 2000 how good has Nebraska been at anything compared to Iowa - you want to talk National TITLES hiw many wrestling titles compared to Iowa have you won - do you even have wrestling at Nebraska?
I once spent 30 hours driving across Nebraska and it seemed like the scenery never changes - then I realized I had a flat tire and had never got out of Lincoln, it just all looked the same - and I was living in Lincoln at the time
Every UNL grad I know still has VHS tapes of 'The Glory Days' and they always offer all 4 and a half of those tapes for me to watch - Can you rewind them and send to me?
I tried to look for a VHS or a DVD or even a film reel of the "Glory Days of Iowa football"....couldn't find one, still searching...yikes!

I took your suggestion. My research shows 5 for the corncobbers - 1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997. The same research for IOWA shows 5 national titles - 1921, 1922, 1956, 1958, and 1960.

That is hilarious! Attacking Nebraska fans for "living in the 90's" when your last title was 1960??! LOL! We are going through one of the WORST phases in Nebraska football history and we still beat you guys last year.

Considering I was 1 when UNL won their last championship, I definitely can’t comment on the 60’s like you can. Pretty funny though, in my entire lifetime UNL has consistently gotten worse.
