And 7 in a row overall. But as soon as [insert this guy] graduates and [insert that guy] goes to the NBA, Huskers are gonna totally own Creighton.
What’s weird is that I believe we have a chance against KU. But ya know..,Miles always finds a way to lose 16-17 games some how

If KU can lose to Washington they can probably lose to Nebraska. But Kansas doesn't usually have two clunker games in a span of 10 days. Or even in a span of 30 days.

I really don't think this loss is on Miles. We missed a ton of open shots in the second half and clearly the game was not called fairly by the refs. I don't mind ticky tacks being called as long as it's on both teams. Also I think the 5th foul on Watson ranks up there with the worst calls I've ever seen in a college basketball game. A Creighton player gets knocked in the head and it's time to stop the game and look at the monitors. Watson gets knocked in the head, doesn't touch a Creighton player and is called for his fifth foul.

All of their fans are Nebraska fans. Quite the paradox.

Yes, and I've been on the PO Pears bus with them many a times in the olden days and they were just flat out ******** both ways. Sit near them in the stands and they say some of the most vile things you've ever heard, yet they go to a Husker football game and they are perfect church angels who politely clap for the opposing team as they exit the field.

Yeah the 5th foul on Watson was awful. It wasn't a foul on Creighton either, because Watson got hit in the head by his teammate. But it was a classic case of a ref seeing contact so he felt compelled to call a foul.

My only real gripe with Miles today was leaving McVeigh in the game to get completely undressed by Harrell. Yes there were other guys in foul trouble, but that was a critical stretch in which the Jays were clearly targeting NU's worst defensive player.

My complaint with miles this game is the same as always, barely any quality ball movement. Look at Creighton, the ball isn't a lead weight stuck to one player. This team has more offensive talent than any in a long time, but they are forced to create baskets themselves. I'd can miles, but I do fear who we'd get in return.

Creighton just has better ball movement or I should say Mac's teams have better ball movement than Miles..

They made their shots in the second half and we didn't no and if's or but's about it..

No doubt the refs favored Creighton, one of the worse calls I have seen was on Watson's 5 foul.
But that is what happens playing on the road.

My take:. Nebraska has a much more talented team than in past years...no questions. They will surprise a few teams along the way. One thing that stood out watching on TV: In the huddle with McDermott and in the huddle with Miles. Completely different messages and demeanors. McDermott sounded like he was imparting coaching observations that he wanted his team to be aware of.....while in the Miles huddle shot he told the players they needed to take good shots and try to do two curls....then he says words to the effect...I know you’re going to take a bad shot every once in a while. To me it just seemed like a big difference in the way each coach was trying to impart advice to his team.

Still...the Huskers have some horses and hopefully will win some games they are supposed to win and avoid the seemingly yearly bad loses. Gettting beat by MI State, Creighton or Kansas are not terrible losses.

Doubt Moos took his list of coaches out of his desk after this loss, but he may have opened the drawer and peeked inside.

Nah. Let's let this year play out some more. I like the way this team is coming together. I want to enjoy this year a little more and I think they'll surprise more than you think. *crosses fingers*

There's a lot of parts that haven't come close to potential. It is encouraging, and they keep getting better. It's very evident by how McVeigh's role diminishes each year.

Kansas goes down at home to Arizona State. Huskers will have a chance to deliver the Jayhawks' third loss in row when they play Saturday.

And hey, as long as we're feeling optimistic, the UNO Mavs can make it a four-game losing streak when they go to Lawrence!
