Does NCAA baseball still try to lump teams in regionals that geographically are close? I ask because why the hell are we always paired with Arkansas or Okie St

Most cases if there close numberwise. Plus obviously Arkansas would be a good story line

Arkansas would be a good story with DVH and Bolt and Childress.

Why doesn't the Big 10 include all 17 teams and play a single elimination tourney?

I hope they go to a 16-team tournament with only the last place team not making the tournament. How humiliating would it be to be the only team not to make a 16-team tournament from a conference with 17 teams?

Lame.
It’s fine the way it is if they wanted more than 8 teams. This set up allows the top 4 not to have to use as many arms, allowing them to look more towards the NCAA tourney.

Monday or Tuesday #16 v #17 play-in game. Easy peasy.

It would be Wisconsin every year

Wisconsin is the ‘18th’ team every year. This year 17th was Northwestern. Imagine being their coach and trying to justify your team’s performance to your AD after the season was over.

AD: There were 17 teams. You just needed to finish in the top 16 to make the tournament. How do you not accomplish that? What exactly do you do around here anyway?🤣

Looks like it’s Michigan tomorrow night. Didn’t look like they used many arms
Tonight but I don’t watch much of it ?

Losing today might hurt Iowa’s chances at hosting a regional or super-regional.

They probably used a few in the 7-1 loss last night and they will be on their 4th starting pitcher tomorrow where we have thrown zero pitches in the tournament.
