After trying to figure out what to do when his evaluations from last winter through the fall didn't work out in the first couple of games, Brown is re-setting again:

excerpt:https://www.wvgazettemail.com/sport...cle_4e4a6995-2b93-5b65-b235-0689855fb7d4.html

"After losing three consecutive games by double-figure margins and having a bye this week before playing at Baylor on Oct. 31, that’s what West Virginia University’s first-year coach decided he needed to do.

“I’m treating this as kind of a reset button,” said Brown, during the Big 12 teleconference on Monday. “We’ve got five games left in our season and we’re going to reset it.

“We’ve got to get some things figured out on our end. We’ve got to make sure we’ve got our best personnel on the field at all times. We’ve got to do a better job.”

No. 1 on Brown’s to-do list comes as no surprise. It’s the Mountaineers’ beleaguered No. 124-ranked rushing offense."

Note--there are only 130 teams in FBS and WVU returned what most experts agreed would be the top RB corps in the BIG 12.

Here is where the running game stands nationally--per this excerpt from WV MetroNews:

"Of WVU’s 30 carries against Oklahoma, 20 went for 2 yards or less.

Sadly, West Virginia’s total of 51 yards represented a slight upgrade from the previous week in which they managed 41 yards on 28 carries against the Cyclones.

West Virginia has one of the nation’s most meager rushing offenses, ranking 123rd nationally with 2.9 yards per carry and 126th nationally with 88.1 yards per game. The Mountaineers have 19 runs over 10 yards. Only Purdue, Rutgers and Texas State are faring worse. West Virginia is also one of 17 teams yet to break out for at least one run of 40 yards or more this season."

So you are saying he is doing his job and trying to fix what wasn’t working. Good to know. Thanks captain obvious.

I would seriously hate to be as miserable as you are in your life. You choose to be unhappy which is fine if that’s what you want your life to be. I could never let myself choose to be a negative person all the time like you do.

But hey, you got that Dana autograph to look at for self affirmation every day.

Let’s see, center snaps the ball, QB hands it off to First Team all American / Future NFL hall of fame running back, and the line doesn’t block.
A. They are green with little to no experience.
B. They are playing out of position and still learning.
C. They are just not that good.

How many yards do those all Americans get????
Not that many.

WVU 126 out of 130 schools in rushing.

More like trying to save his job.

Obviously is learning on the job as he tries to coach at the major college ranks.

Few coaches have to reset their team and strategy multiple times throughout the season due to massive failures in just about everything they are "coaching up".

Shows lack of evaluation abilities-but hey he is saying the "right" things even if he isn't producing any results. And you trolls can always go back to your libeling the previous staff if things don't work out, or just attacking anyone who points out what is happening NOW in REALITY--right? Makes you and your ego with its inability to admit wrongdoing feel better-- and then you don't have to own up to how incredibly wrong you were about the previous staff over the last decade.

From the MetroNews article above --this really stands out:

Only Purdue, Rutgers and Texas State are faring worse.

And you'd be bitching and moaning if Brown said that he will plow ahead with the same approach.

Wonder what the 2 haters will do when Brown turns it all around? Building from the ground up is better than duct taping it together.

And those three teams have a combined FIVE wins.

Yet NB has somehow managed to win THREE games against the fourth toughest schedule in the nation.

Sounds to me like he is doing something right.

Do you see how stupid you sound Buck? You cite facts that support the opposite conclusion you are trying to push. You sir, are an idiot.

We should, from this day forward, call you Costanza, Lord of the Idiots!

yet when Holgorsen did anything like this he was bashed mercilously by fools like you.

Brown is changing things up game to game as he tries to learn on the job how to coach against this level.

Dana is learning on the job how to coach against Big Boy football in the AAC conference. Oh, by the way, he lost another one last night.

Wait, so when Holgorsen did "resets" mid-year he was bashed by "fools," yet it's fools who defend resets when it's done by Brown?
