Newly hired assistants bring along recruits and contacts they've established.
Not sure why Carino appears shocked or upset.
Should the eventual Hobbs replacement not try to bring along any players?

He's not developing into an NBA player in college. For that, he should go to the G League.You think he starts over Mag and Hyatt as a freshman? I think Ndongo develops into a nba player, but I wasn't expecting a big impact yr 1
He is probably shocked or upset because pikiell and hobbs go way back and are UCONN boys. It is one thing to leave the program for an oppurtunity. it is another thing to steal away a key piece to your recruiting class. No honor amongst thieves i guess.
Yeah.. pretty standard for recruiters to be hired BECAUSE they will drag along a key recruit. But Hobbs did us dirty and Ndongo was clearly used by Hobbs.
How did the conversation go..
"Hi Baye, its Carl... yeah.. you know how I was telling you how great Rutgers is for the last couple years.... funny thing... I am now down at Georgia Tech and, boy this place is just peachy! You'll love it here even more!"
