Game was lost on the offensive end. Bunch of missed opportunities middle of second half when they went on their drought.

Play was run for Sarr, but was supposed to happen 1.5 seconds or so earlier. Boston fumbled what was supposed to be a touch pass to Sarr. Sarr actually recovered very well to get Boston’s only pass angle but it also put him 6 feet further out and 1.5 seconds behind. We had the rebounders and askew got the put back which would have won... if the play happened when and where it was supposed to. Boston burning that second and a half made it all or nothing.

Bingo. Obvious, but not to a couple of dolts in here.

For those of you talking moral victory... SHUT UP!!! This is the University of Kentucky we don’t have moral victories. We have wins and we have losses and this team LOST!!!
Did we play better in the second half? Yes but that honestly isn’t saying much when we are playing a garbage Notre Dame team.

Mintz should of been in for boston its too much to ask a 5 star player to catch a ball and make a pass

I know Coach Cal loves friggin Boston but I would have loved a win. Why not pull him out the last play. He’s had trouble turning it over the whole game. Bobbled it which puts Sarr in a bad position to shoot.

Mintz Needs to be in for Boston. When he was in along with Clark, Jackson etc. we went on a 16 to nothing run.

Little bit of defense in the second half. Somewhat more effective ball movement. Dismal shooting. On a scale of 0 - 100 relative to our potential, I’d say maybe 25.

The Wokecats did wake up and show some signs of life in the 2nd half. Just not quite enough.

It was really just the first 10-12 min. They held with ND after that, but it wasn't until the 2nd half that they started to chip away.

All these people bashing moral victories.

Listen no one is happy with the loss but would you rather have lost by 30?

The fight in the 2nd half is good because hopefully it's a sign that will carry over into the other games.

If we fight like we did in the 2nd half for 40 mins, we'll win quite a bit of games.

It didn't happen therefore it did not occur and we missed it. As everyone else did. You surely can't be that dumb.

Lol. That's dumb. You can't miss something if it never occurred.

You people act as if we wouldn't have made the tournament last season had their been one which is just not true.

I don't know why last year is even being mentioned.

Missing the NCAA tournament is going 13-17 and losing in your conference tournament. It's not having the tournament cancelled. At this point that person just wants to argue for arguments sake.

If you want moral victories go be a fan of a different team. Here’s the victory... the team didn’t act like they gave a $?!@ in the first half and in the second half they gave a medium sized effort when Notre Dame thought they had it in The bag. They probably checked the draft boards at halftime.

Yeah there's not one person on this board that said they "wanted" moral victories.

Nice memory. I was 9 going on 10 that season and had never watched a game of basketball to that point. I only wish it wasn't something you needed to know right now.
Well, I remember the Purdue loss because I had just moved to Texas from Indiana and Purdue fans were talking trash before the game. I remember the SMU loss because they were ranked in the Top Five at the time. The others were on National TV and it's always hard to forget losses to IU and UL in the same year, lol. Purdue hammered us pretty good at Mackey Arena and SMU beat us on a last second shot in Rupp. The Dallas Morning News called it "A Miracle Win" for SMU because it was at Rupp but they were better than us that year.

The message boards will be crazy this week. 1-4, UK did play much better in the second half but that doesn’t mean much to me. Experience + good coaching > 5* one and dones.

That was just before SMU was on the death penalty I believe, right?

I wonder if this changes if there was say 1 second more on that clock and the Askew put back goes into before the buzzer tho.

Good gosh you are a dense person but I mean if this makes you feel better roll on with it. You are just the smartest person to ever grace the planet. This message board should idolize you.

Bottom line is we're 1-4 with 2 losses to mediocre teams in Rupp. This is not acceptable.

Also, yeah, we came most of the way back, but lets be real, ND let off the gas and never recovered. Dont buy into the fools gold, this team is so far away on so many aspects of the game. I don’t know if Cal can fix this in time tbh. We're going to get beaten badly when we start playing good teams.

I'm so tired of losing games in Rupp and really tired of watching bad basketball for most of the year just because Cal wants to get guys to the NBA.

We all know today's 2nd half only matters if they carry it over. That doesn't mean there weren't signs of positivity that came from it. We learned this team is better with Clarke handling the PG responsibilities. Thedifference is minimal if they are missing shots. We thought this, but today we saw it. We learned that this team can press if they do it with urgency. Not token pressure. Actual pressure on the ball and the other players trying to bring it up. We learned that this offense is better if it is run through Sarr. It was a belief before but in the 2nd half we actually saw what it would look like. These guys grew up today. Now they have to carry it over.
