Nebraska takes out Game1 frustrations on the Flying Hawks....

Bubba Schweigert is sort of an old school fundamentals and discipline coach who has elevated their program but he can't field a team anywhere close to Nebraska's talent level. This game is close only if the Huskers commit 3 or 4 turnovers.

the teams look a lot alike. Both offenses should have at least their average day. Neither defense is outstanding
one point: Huskers can pass. They go up against a passing defense that gives up 193 yds/game from last season. Huskers put up 314 last week. If the passing game clicks the running game may get a chance to look better than it is. If it doesn’t roll you may be witness to what some may call an upset.
Bottom line: neither team is impressive. teams are equally matched. the makings of a great game are in place
FCS vs FBS: with a great FCS team like the NDSU BISON there will be little if any difference in overall talent, coaching and conditioning. UND does not have a great reputation regarding those elements of the game. Route potential is all Nebraska.

We need to rout them. My interest in this game is not with regard to whether or not we will win. Barring a meltdown we will win. My interest is to see if we dominate them or not. If we win "ugly" and seem to struggle running the ball or stopping the run, then it will be a really bad sign that last week was not a fluke but what the rest of our season will look like.
The lines better look dominant today. If we look average, cash it in for a 14 point win and a lost locker room
Dude. NDSU is a very fine FCS school which has had good luck against Iowa State and teams of that caliber.
You really wanna see what would happen if NDSU took on an Ohio State or Bama talent laden squad?
I hear SF makes the players do sprints at half so that they will be extra fast in the second half.
My main concern is if will see some improvements from the defense, If they give up more than 14 it’ll be a long season.
I’m not sure you got the game you were looking for. The 4 th qtr was a good finish. Our hedges were right on.
Nebraska won’t schedule NDSU because it wasn’t luck that gave The BISON the win over the Hawkeyes or Kansas State. I’m not sure NDSU would schedule Ohio State or Bama either.

I know for a fact NDSU can be as much as the IA, KSU, or even NU can handle. They are a helluva program. You are correct they would be wise to avoid Ohio State, Bama, or that monster Kirby has assembled in Athens.

It's a Sunday night, it's halftime of the LSU/Fla State game and it gives me something to do.

I agree. NDSU would not be the fighting hawks The hawks are a typical fcs program playing 500 ball. A perfect foil for a body bag game. They think they were only a couple players or a play or two from victory Saturday:
Great effort for 3 quarters. UND played winning football (by that, I mean good enough to beat a Power 5 team) for 3 quarters. Just ran out of steam in the 4th quarter. Call it a lack of depth, lack of experience, whatever, really the classic FCS-FBS experience. Same thing happened 2nd half last season @ Utah State. 3rd and 15 conversion (deep pass) by Nebraska late in the game was the final knockout blow that gave Nebraska the momentum for the rest of the game.
Just stay away from South Dakota State and North Dakota State. Did you see what the Jacks did to Iowa Saturday? Arizona is up next for NDSU. It’s nice to play the UNDs, break a little sweat and pat them on the head as they leave. Teams like Nebraska need games like UND. They don’t need the Mighty Dakota Land Grants. They use UND to pad their schedule too.
