Two years in a row all we gotta do is grab a defensive rebound and we move on. But Noooooooo....

Just stand around like spectators and watch the game slip away.

And now we watch as the team we had beat goes instead of us.

Let’s see what Texas Tech does.

We gave up the 2 to shut down the 3.

Bama played them straight up (they shot 62% from 3)

Let’s see how Tech defends them.

Gave up one too many two’s though. Why shoot threes when you can drive to the hoop with relative ease all game.

Do the math. Shooting 62% from 3 is the same as shooting 93% from 2. They did not shoot 93% against us. It just seemed that way.

ND is hot and peaking at the right time. We peaked in Mid February. Iowa peaked for almost a month heading into the tourney. ND could go on a run here. Or they could lose their next game.

Good point, but ND probably wouldn't have shot 62% from 3 against us even if we'd spent more effort defending the paint... They can get hot from outside, but for the season they're shooting about 38%.... ND was 10-16 from 3 against Alabama... They attempted more 3's against RU (6-19), despite RU primarily trying to deny the 3.. The main difference was Cormac Ryan's better 3PT shooting against Alabama. (He was 2-6 against us, 7-9 against Alabama. Maybe it was our defense, or maybe he was just hot against Alabama. He's shooting 41% from 3 for the season, and has only made more than three 3PT shots in a game 3 times this season...)

Also, maybe Alabama's game plan changed a little bit both offensively and defensively when their point guard and second leading scorer blew out his knee 3 minutes into the game... Quinerly's unfortunate injury may have improved ND's chances. Looking forward to seeing how ND does on Sunday.

ND looked very good in person yesterday

Texas Tech in person.... physically imposing. Looked like their entire roster could have been at the NFL combine

Exactly, plus Texas Tech shot almost 70% w Shannon & Co. . Could be this years Baylor..
