i think the west will be just fine this year . its no surprise that were not in the polls. just like any teams with 1 or 2 losses at this stage we shouldnt be in there. the polls are just fodder for bragging rights anyway. the cream always rises to the top at the end of the season and things are determined on the field. not on a keyboard. just my opinion
Did anyone watch the Monroe/Weddington game last night or were you all too busy watching the Panthers choke again? Monroe dominated Weddington which plays right into how weak 3A west is this year. 2A west is looking strong though. I know Weddington lost their top two QB's last night, but the sophmore looked better than both of them and they still got dominated. Unfortunately as of now we might as well hand the 3A title to the east unless some changes are made :-/
Nah....A down year for the West is a good year for the East. We're just letting them feel like they have a chance again this year.
I was thinking the same thing. On the bright side, when Catholic, Dudley, and Monroe go to 3A next year the entire landscape for the west will change.
Looking good for Havelock and the Alamance teams at this point. 3AA could still have a contender in Crest.
