Well coached, what the hell was that? Down 1 run the cock out and throw it away. Shoot the ball if you miss you foul and can only go down 2 or 3 with time to tie or win. Man bad call there with 15+ secs.
More importantly save in case he misses the FT. They are totally screwed now if he misses the FT.

I don’t know why Belmont didn’t put it in windlers hands. Let him go and either shoot or pass for an open shot with about 4-5 seconds left.

I like the decision to essentially hold for last shot. I don't like that the dummy picked his dribble up for no reason.
At this point after watching the season I can't see any way the team owner of whomever has the 2nd pick in the NBA draft wouldn't be pissed if their team takes Barrett over Morant. Morant is the better player.
Yeah Murray st. was one of my upset picks in every bracket I filled out. Marquette isn’t that good and guys like Morant step up when the stage is big. He’s a #1 pick any year there isn’t a 280 pound mutant/cyborg creature in the draft.
I put Murray State in the Sweet Sixteen. They remind me in some ways of the Courtney Lee-led WKU squad in 2008 that nearly upset UCLA in the round of 16.

Like the Belmont decision just not the play. Guy got a hand on the pass. Timing on the play was off.

The problem with waiting until the last second to take a shot is plays like what happened to Belmont. I guess they couldn't trust their defense.
I thought it was stupid you don't hold for the final shot when down 1 like that you take away the chance for off rebound on a miss take away a chance for them to miss a FT like they did and come down and get a legit shot at the end to win the game. You have to go sooner at the very least leave 5+ seconds on the clock.
He did go early enough. He just picked his dribble up for no reason. He then panicked and tried the silly backdoor pass because no one else was coming to help.
