NCAA: "UNC No Academic Violations"

[MWes11]

ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?

[EmCats3]

Are you surprised? This was expected

[gossie21_rivals69805]

I have no words.......

[Bkocats]

Not surprised at all

[uk78_rivals88018]

This was already something stated months ago. I told you so.......................

[Lempface]

All you can do is laugh.

[jgodek]

Can the FBI please step in please. [roll]

We all knew the NCAA wouldn’t touch their darling.

[GonzoCat90]

Good. Hand Zion Williamson a half million dollars tonight, give a random freshman a hundred bucks, and let's go play.

[blubo]

Six-plus years investigation for this lame dog and pony show?

[jedwar]

I'd not schedule them again.

If the NCAA came knocking or calling I'd slam door in their faces or hang up on them.

[ukchambliss]

That’s hilarious.

[Wall Knight Teague]

Cheating pays. Bottom line. UNC*** just got a rubber stamp for 30+ years of academic fraud simply by refusing to cooperate and allowing regular students to cheat as well.

Disband the NCAA.

Only bright side is that I'm sure this has made UofL fans even more angry/depressed.

[Nuke99m.]

I am speechless. I am without speech.

[BigBlueFanGA]

Simply unbelievable. I can only hope this is the beginning of the end of the NCAA.

[shaolin style]

No balls. Time for universities to start doing whatever they want- just make sure to file your payments with the IRS.

[Col. Angus]

Not surprised.

[blubo]

Could this be fake news? i haven’t seen any other reports elsewhere.

[larry the cable guy]

What about the free rental cars? Did all students get a free rental car?

[59coop]

It took them how many years to come up with this? Looks like Louisville is really gonna pay, their going to have to prove they have some form of relevance now.

[true-blue1]

Not at all surprised.

[TIE543]

Reporting it on sportscenter right now

[FlCATFan_rivals26961]

Un-Freaking-believable.

[al.ksr]

F'n GoBots.

[billoliver40]

After all this time, no surprise at all.

[Cowtown Cat]

Not surprised either. I thought they'd at least receive some kind of penalty, though.

[JStaff21]

The North Carolina Athletic(okay just basketball) Association found no wrongdoing at North Carolina?

Very odd.

[Gaytor Hater]

Was this not the same thing they said years ago? What the the hell have they been doing this whole time to only confirm the same BS lie?

[GonzoCat90]

I'm going to need someone to logically walk me through how the same organization that investigated the actions, found the information and publicly proclaimed the violations can get to the sentencing point and say nothing happened.

Wouldn't the time for that have already passed? I mean they established the crime. This was supposed to be the punishment phase.

[jgodek]

So if you look at this ruling.

If you pay a student athlete 200k to go there, but you also pay a regular student 200k to go there, you can’t conclude it was done just to benefit athletics, right? So no NCAA violation?

Just curious as to how you can say something isn’t a violation just because it wasn’t done solely for athletics.

[Nuke99m.]

If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than I am now,

[Xception]

College basketball is nothing but a cheating mess, the ncaa is the biggest cheater in the game.

[TrappedinIndiana]

This is like a slap to the face of every collegiate team that has ever been punished by the NCAA. It's time for a change!

[jrpross_rivals]

My god. [roll]

I gotta say I was expecting a little slap on the wrist. I mean, they had this huge notice of allegations that included impermissible benefits and lack of institutional control. Why even put that out? It’s like it never even existed now.

[*CatinIL*]

Meanwhile in Chapel Hill...

The NCAA is an absolute joke.

[topps coach]

Grew up in NC so this doesn't surprise me

[John Henry]

Who expected anything different? The Carolina Way has been breaking rules since Dean Smith. They are the Untouchables

[larry the cable guy]

I honestly hope this is the beginning of the end for the NCAA.

[docholiday51]

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds!!

[uk78_rivals88018]

Shockme, like I said this same thing was stated by the NCAA several months ago, that the academic issue was not within their jurisdiction since it is up to the colleges on what they certify and that it wasn't limited just to the athletic department. I kept saying this would be the out.

[Bobcat94_rivals]

This right here shows the NCAA is not fair and should be replaced. I could see after all this FBI investigations that schools pull from their power. This is ridiculous.
