Poor UK fans have to come over here and talk about how invincible they are.. Sorry the SEC is weak and it was close as in 5 point game but it was close for a while in A LOT of games where UK shoulda been far superior and blown them completely out jus like last night
What a great 1st day of the Tournament! The tenacity of some of the teams (Harvard, Northeastern, Georgia St., and UAB) is what makes this Tourney so much fun. I love to see the desire to win out of teams that should have no chance!
These teams remind me of some of the Duke teams of the past, their desire, emotion, and fortitude.
What I wouldn't give for us to play 6 games with all the concentration and desire to hang a 5th Banner!

As a I agree, win these first 2 games in Charlotte first then we can focus on repeating 2010 throughout the rest of the tourney. I also a agree that it would've been an even greater day if Harvard could've pulled out the win then if Hampton could've somehow pulled the ultimate upset then that would've been epic.Originally posted by bleediteveryday30:

Arizona and Villanova were the most impressive on that first day, either one could win the whole thing.
Wildest first day of the tourny i can remember in quite some time. LSU had that game won but they got Johnny Jonesed as we call it. Btw LSU was tied for 3rd in the SEC with 4 other teams not 2nd and lost to Auburn in the first round of the SEC T so honestly they were probably our 5th or 6th best team in the SEC. Arkansas was 2nd who won. LSU will probably be the 2nd best team in the SEC next year if Martin and Mickey come back with Simmons and Blakeney coming in. I will admit tho that UK had the worst start almost since the the start of the SEC schedule but the good thing is the next game we usually come out playing very good so we shall see.
Usually a 1 over a 16 doesn't mean much, but you are correct, they were impressive. Most of the time, real contenders start out that way, leaving no questions to be asked about their abilities!
