It’d be pretty cool the play tourney games in Hinkle Fieldhouse. One of the classic old venues in all of American sports.
What would be REALLY cool is to have the play-in games played in the Hoosier Gym where Hickory High from Hoosiers actually played their games back in the day.

Still a functioning gym that can be rented out for events.

Not college court dimensions, but who cares.

They should play the Final Four there......why oh why with little to no fans would you feel the need to play it in a 70000 stadium

Its such a cool idea, the NCAA probably never even considered it.

Probably would use the excuse to say, couldn't accommodate enough media and more likely advertisers would balk at not having the branding and signage opportunities that they are given in a football size venue.

I mean its not that difficult to imagine.

4 16 team bubbles.

West Lafayette Bubble
Bloomington Bubble
Pacers Fieldhouse Bubble
Fairgrounds /IUPUI Bubble

Then have the 4 bubble winners advance to Hinkle. (or even pull 2 out of each bubble, and run the tournament from the elite 8 onward there)

Leave Lucas Oil out of the whole conversation.

Cool place. Worked for a football team and we went to Butler to play. Locker rooms for football are in the basement, then a tunnel leads to field. Butler is a nice campus

When I worked college ball on a reg basis, Hinkle was my favorite place to go...I also worked a semi-state there years ago....Great atmosphere..

Complete waste of time and not a real March madness. Doubt we ever see a real March madness again quite frankly.

New world order sports is unwatchable just like the Chinese hoped to make it

First thought why would the ncaa play all games in Indiana?

second thought—maybe they were worried about home court bias and they knew they were totally clear there.
