Uh oh. Joel Berry shaken up. Damn twisted ankle. I hate those. He walked off on his own though. New tape job and he's probably fine.

For all of those who said yesterday how stupid Princeton and Vanderbilt for not driving the ball down 1 yesterday well SMU down 1 drove the ball got a contested shot and missed and didn't get a foul called.

They're not all the same referees. It's not universal.

just because the result didn't pan out doesn't mean it was the incorrect decision.

You have to play the higher percentage in that case.

I didn't mind it so much with Princeton. They take a ton of 3s to begin with and make a good % of them.

SMU did the right thing in that situation. The shot just didn't fall.

An hour away from the start of the run of games that really matter to most of UK fans:

Wich St / Dayton (our next match up)

Pewk / Troy (because we'd all love to see another Lehigh event)

K-State / Cincy (potential UCLA upsetter and possible future opponent)

UK / NKU (duh)

UCLA / Kent St. (next weekend's first game match up)

and of course

USC / Marquette (who is up to beat Pewk?)

Too bad these aren't our refs. Letting them play on. Guarantee we will be strapped with whistle happy morons.

I'm telling you, our guys better get accustomed to playing through contact. These refs are letting way more contact go than the refs during the season.

I think I might rather play Wichita State. Dayton with a ton of experience and they're surprisingly long.

Troy and Texas Southern may be the worst teams ever assembled.
Mike Davis may be blowing his chance to shine, replace Crean, and resurrect The Movement.

Seriously, what a fall for Davis. From IU's head coach to UAB to Texas Southern in the SWAC.

Oh wow, did you just see that foul call on WSU? I want Dayton to win and all, but damn that was bad. He slipped.

So who does Wichita State have that is so good that everyone is saying they were under-seeded?

I mean they look okay, but nothing special.

Dayton has one of those small pg's with a cool name (Scoochie Smith), those are the dudes that go off.

Troy cuts it to 7 late in the first. If Duke weren't shooting 60% from three (9-15), this would be interesting.

You know, Cincinnati actually looks pretty good. They, as usual, play tough nosed ball. They could be a problem for UCLA.
