NCAA Tournament

[ronpolk]

Have not kept up with basketball much this year... do we have to win the tournament to get a bid this year? Any chance a win over Bama get us in the conversation of an at large?

Will have to win it all to get in

[QuaoarsKing]

We can probably get into the fringe of the bubble (probably "Also Considered", not even Next 4 Out) with a win tomorrow AND Saturday, but we have too many bad losses to be a serious contender for an at large.

NET was 78 before the Kentucky game. We'd need to get that to the neighborhood of 50, and even then our resume would be weak.

So...

Yep. With Before the win, we were we're up to #78 and considering the NIT only has 16 teams this year, we'd likely need to make the conference tournament finals to make it.

Thank you. Let's just enjoy the win over a really bad Kentucky team with a lot of elite players who could have made a difference on most any other roster.

Maybe will win another game tomorrow. Hoping.

It's gonna be a murderers' row of teams we face here on out. If we somehow win the tourney we'll get placed in the first 4 games vs someone like Syracuse or Mich State. Let's see how long we stay alive.

[patdog]

I'm gonna give us about 22 hours.

It's tough playing Bama again, but I think we can beat them on the right day. I'm just glad we're opposite Arkansas. I'm definitely pulling for the underdog from here on out, though. Don't want to face any of the top 4 seeds.
