You know I know people love the first round upsets and I do as well to a degree (so long as it's not us getting upset lol)

.......but having said that.........most of these upsets happen and then they end up getting absolutely trounced in the second round.

In other words, the more upsets make for less exciting games in the next round. IMO.
And sometimes they don't ala George Mason and VCU as 11 seeds and FAU as a 9 seed to the final 4.

St Peter's (I know it hurts) made he Elite 8 as a 15 seed.

Maybe he would got better talent at Kentucky
He pretty much owned west coast recruiting at Arizona and could never get beyond the Elite 8. Not like he’s young either. He’s almost 60. If I’m taking an older coach, it’s Bruce Pearl or bust.

Yeah but exception not the norm. And like.......eventually those teams flame out.

We get so hung up over all this stuff only for some 1 or 2 seed to win the whole damn thing anyways lol

Speaking of coaches man Brad Underwood who by all accounts a pretty good offensive coach. He's had some really good offensive teams and yet..........one Elite 8 and the rest 1st or 2nd round exits. Ouch.

I’m very curious where we’d be this year (and last year) if Pope hired Antigua. Would we have better talent or would it be about the same? Really never understood saying “no” to one of the best recruiters in college basketball. It still doesn’t make sense to me.

Wild to me.
We need to recruit better too. Otherwise Pope doesn't stand a chance here.

No sex is probably the biggest one. I mean sure, you can probably live off campus, but Provo is like 90% Mormon, you aren’t finding many willing girls in that town. That’s like a nightmare for most college aged kids.

Maybe a fat man can't get any, but at one time Utah had the highest teenage pregnancy in the country. I don't think you know very much about Utah, or Mormons 😁

I know enough to know about “soaking”. It’s very depressing.

Josh Schertz is not going to be at St. Louis for long. Multiple Div 2 final fours, NIT runner up and looking convincing against Georgia so far.
