Here's fingers cross.
I would rather he default than risk anything.
No difference between 7th and 8th....Isn't that similar to what happened to Ashnault his first year?
I am not 100% sure on that, but I believe he did have some lingering issues

The fact that he was able to try and give it a go after the trainers looked at him makes me think it’s nothing too serious. Maybe he doesn’t wrestle today as a precaution but wouldn’t expect there to be any structural issues. As long as he doesn’t have any chronic knee problems I think he’ll be fine.
Good point. I thought Valencia tore something for sure, and maybe he did. But he came back out in the wrestle backs and wrestled pretty darn good on a bummed wheel.

Pretty sure the score is wrong. Rivera got 2 back points. Should be 4-1

I’m pretty sure the ref called it out. I’m not sure if he waved it off or the scorekeeper missed it
I thought he did, it was definitely more than two secs.. I've seen a lot of refs who need to get the lead out of their *** and start counting. They don't seem to understand it's not when you get your fat *** in position but when the shoulder blades break the plane.

That you did, @koleszar. I was wrong on Turley coming into this tournament. As long as he keeps that aggressiveness, he will have a great career.
Now I will say, I also thought Van Brill looked good for a blood round appearance. That one I got completely wrong.

I had that, also, with him losing in the bloodround. That is what makes this tournament so fun (not Van Brill losing), how unpredictable it can be.

tactical question
Your are up 10-4 with 1;01 of riding time.
Why do you choose down when you know you will lose the riding time.

Poz didn't have an issue getting out from Geer in the first match, so I understand the decision. Especially with how Poznanski was taking Geer down at will. Get out, and get another take to ice it. Didn't pan out, but probably was the right move.

That's a shame and knew what was happening as it was transpiring. I was yelling at the TV that's potentially dangerous. Yet two refs stood there and watched as Massa cranked the knee against the joint. I've seen plenty of questionable potentially dangerous called in this tourney and understand the need for caution. But nothing as egregious as that not called, those two refs need to get their heads out of their collective ***. Scott had every right to be pissed and lambast them.
