Poz is amazing! was so close to that TD in SV. He controlled the match against a guy that's ~3 years older. Hope he wrestles back to take 3rd.
Not sure I would say controlled but wrestled a great smart match and was inches from the upset. Really thought he had it.

Fvcking ref should have stopped that he was twisting the knee against the joint.. It's called potential dangerous and both refs weren't watching for it.

Lost in the AA talk, Deakin had a surprising loss by pinfall to Rider’s Dellavecchia. Did not expect that.

With Mekhi Lewis forfeiting out, I believe AJ Ferrari and Carter Starocci are the only two guys left in the field who can eventually become 5x NCAA champions. Spencer Lee should win his 3rd his year and could become the 5th guy ever to win 4. Yianni can also get to 4.

Bitter-sweet day. Love the medal rounds and finals, but hate to see the season come to an end. Wrestling will begin shortly here, just a few quick notes of mine from last night's matches.

- I greatly underestimated Jackson Turley going into this tournament. He has a HIGH motor and is able to score from so many different positions. A 1 - 2 punch of him and Poz over the next several years is going to be so much fun to watch.
- Speaking of Poz, how great is this kid? Had a hell of a battle with Hidlay last night, coming up just short. As good as Poz is with his offense, his defense is what impresses me the most. The way he can fend off takedowns when guys have him dead to rights is just mind blowing. I am so excited to see what John Poznanski turns into.
- Sebastian Rivera was in the dog fight we knew he would have. Nick Lee is a hell of a competitor, and my pick to win the title tonight. That stall call was really the kiss of death, and made Rivera force a few attempts. I do think Sebastian needs to up his pace a little more to make the hurdle over the Lee's and Eierman's of the division. This is only going to fuel an already hungry SeaBass, who will be hellbent on a mission for the national title next season.

I called it on your thread on the Round Table, Turley loses 1st and makes a bull run on the back side. Guys who openly look to always be scoring always do well at tournaments.

I haven't been able to get a word on Turley, unfortunately. Hoping to see him go today, but if unable, just hoping it is nothing that will linger into next season.

Here's fingers cross.
I would rather he default than risk anything.
No difference between 7th and 8th....Isn't that similar to what happened to Ashnault his first year?

The fact that he was able to try and give it a go after the trainers looked at him makes me think it’s nothing too serious. Maybe he doesn’t wrestle today as a precaution but wouldn’t expect there to be any structural issues. As long as he doesn’t have any chronic knee problems I think he’ll be fine.
