So if your ranked number 1 they put you close to home?

if not, could it be crap shoot, wondering minds like to get an idea.

I like to look ahead, think about possiblities, discuss....

If we have a good record like most expect we will probably go to St Louis and then Louisville for the regional semis and finals.

It's a crapshoot at this point and likely you won't know till Feb. records play a big part here

It depends on a lot. Basketball will be down next year, and there will be even more teams vying for the 1-2 seeds than this year even with how spread out across the board it will be with solid but no really good to great teams on paper going into the season.

You can bet on one thing though, I bet UK does not get sent to the Louisville regional if they are a 2 seed...they will not give UK a virtual home game against the 1 seed. They will scrap geography when it is "convenient" to do so I bet, aka when UK stands to benefit.

I'm thinking as a 2, we will be given the geographic advantage vs the 3/4 and placed in Louisville. Now..if we do drop to a 3 seed, I don't think we will be placed in the Louisville region.

I hear what you are saying as it wouldn't be entirely fair (in your example) for a 1 seed to play us in Louisville, but again I don't think a 2 seed gets geographically penalized. If you can think of any similar circumstances when the 2 seed was kicked out of their "home" region, please feel free to enlighten.

(I suppose if another SEC team was the 1 seed in Louisville, then we would be moved out- that likely has happened with ACC/ Big 10 in the past. Just not seeing that as a likely scenario).
