What’d you expect them not to say anything? Considering the number of African Americans in all college athletics they had no choice, it was the right and smart thing to do.

Only surprising thing to me is that he found time during his busy schedule of sweeping LSU violations under the rug to issue a statement

What's the excuse for Transgender demands by them? I mean... Is the NCAA full of transgenders that demand to compete in women's sports?

They had a choice to lead... not be led. They are the adults.

Biden has had 50 years to build a better America and has done nothing, so Ill exercise my right to 4 more years, k thanks.

Just think folks, this posturing and victimization will be over in November regardless of who is in the white house. i look forward to that day.

All that's needed at the end is Joe Biden's voice saying I support this message.

The quote is clearly political. I have no problem with them supporting peaceful protests if players choose to. But to throw in November 3 specifically isn't a good look for the NCAA. Not when they ultimately have to answer to both sides of the aisle in Congress when major issues arise.

How is voting going to change anything? Most of the problems are in Democratic cities run by Democrats for years.
Are they saying to vote out the Democrats, I don't think so.

I wonder how they feel about the 2000 PAC 12 and Big 10 players having to sit at home this season. I thought the NCAA was there to support and protect the athletes. Where do they stand on the lawsuit brought on by the Nebraska players because they are not getting to play?

Do you have any idea how tough it was for Joe to hold back all of his good ideas for the last 47 years just waiting on his chance? Especially the 8 under Obama. I mean he's that close to the presidency, no way he's giving Obama the good ideas for change and letting him take credit! I bet Obama's promises for hope and change were all predicated on Joe sharing some knowledge. Then it never happened.

I say kudos for Joe, for his patience and planning. Since 1973 he's been selflessly serving and holding onto his master plan for when he became president. Patience. Strength. Planning.

Did the NCAA just endorse Joe Biden?

I read it as an endorsement of Trump. The vast majority of leaders who control the areas seeing all of the violence are democrats, and a lot of the policies they are enforcing were written by democrats.

I'm joking about him endorsing Trump, of course. We can't let truth get in the way of an identity politics narrative.

“Build a better and more inclusive America”??? Very odd that they’d come out and endorse President Trump so brazenly. Will be interesting to see how this plays with the athletes.

To all that see this as a clear message to vote out Trump-

There is more than just a presidential election on the 3rd. There are federal congressional seats up for grabs. There are state seats up for grabs. There are county sheriff elections.
If an area has a sheriff that mistreats a segment of the population, then this is the time to change that.
If an area has a lawmaker who uses baseless conspiracies for their platform instead of working to improve education, roads, and local waterways, then this is the time to change that.

For 17s sake. Everyone will read into that message how they want and in a way that will support their biases. But reality is that nothing specific was said and there are a ton of elections that can affect how this country operates.

I'll tell what's a travesty- LSU athletics free reign under Emmert. Yet he never gets questioned why. 17 that guy!

Swimming Pools kill 10 times the number of unarmed black men than cops.... let’s cancel those too.

Black men are more likely to be killed by another black man than by the cops, too. Not to mention the OVERWHELMING majority of encounters between blacks and cops end peacefully. This entire narrative of "systemic racism" and that all cops are racist while black men are running for their lives because of it does nothing but exacerbate the fear and hatred. It's amazing how so many people continue to tow such a fat lie, and then wonder aloud why these things keep happening.

It's absolutely pathetic and irresponsible for such sensitive diatribe to be used by the media and (primarily) left-wing politicians to try and manipulate the public.

It was a simplified message about race not personal choice! If there was outward discrimination against any transgender in the NCAA dam right they’d have something to say. Your original post is nothing but an attempt to throw more fuel on a minimal statement. If MSU came out with the same statement you’d say nothing.

First off, go 17 yourself with a corndog.

Secondly, that term means whatever the 17 it needs to mean in any given area of a state or country.

Improve- to make better
Education- what you lack.

Good lord, how is it that this is something we argue about? Why would anyone not want the education near them to be improved? It lowers crime, increases property value, and bring in business. Regardless of where education is in any given location, it can improve in many ways(and not always cost more).

Yeah that email pushed me over the limit and almost makes me not want to watch football... almost.
This is the single worst incident to make an example out of - a person gets the cops called on them, because somebody did not want them there, and that person has a bad history of being a criminal, and reaches for a weapon.... and THIS is supposed to be the next big incident? I think the George Floyd incident was something to be pissed off about - 100% that was wrong. But THIS? Not so much. Not at all really.
Question: When did the police realize that the weapon he was reaching for was a knife, and not a gun?
Answer : After they shot him, because he was going for a weapon and they didn't want to find out what it was.

Also - the "being shot 7 times is too much" argument - what are they supposed to do? Shoot once and ask the guy if it hit him, then shoot again if not?

I'm not a fan of Trump at all, but a vote against him is just appeasing the mob at this point. Sigh... this all sucks and just gets worse.

i think that a lot of people feel pushed to trump. the left has totally abandoned moderates and even those not left enough. where are they to go? some dont like Trump (i find myself in this camp occasionally), but its trump vs the alternative and a shell of a man with dementia and a radical hypocrite dont seem very appealing to those left behind.

The next statement is going to be about how Santa Claus is real and they support freedom for the elves.

How do we just ignore the actual situation? The guy was at a place he was was not suppose to be due to a restraining order. The police were called by the woman. They tried to remove him. He refuses so they try to arrest him. He resists arrest and then grabs a weapon disobeying commands the entire time. This is NOT James Meredith enrolling in Ole Miss. This is NOT the Little Rock school children being attacked by dogs. This is NOT the Marchers to Selma being attacked by men on horseback.

"Hands up don't shoot" is a lie.
"White supremacist are fine people" is a lie.
Russian collusion is a lie.
Articles of impeachment charges are a lie.
Now the Jacob Blake encounter is also a lie.

And they call Trump the liar?

The NCAA hasn't yet made a statement about the number of young black men whom murder other young black men.

Why not?

Why would the NCAA make a statement about the police shooting of the black man in Kenosha (which may be found to be an appropriate use of lethal force) and not make a statement about tragic outcomes resulting from young black men's interactions with persons of color?

Do the lives of young black men that were murdered by other young black men matter?

Or, do only the lives of young black men shot by white police officers matter?

In my opinion, it is hypocritical to show concern for one and not the other.

I read where Jacob Blake had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the crimes of misdemeanor criminal trespass to a dwelling; felony third-degree sexual assault; and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

The cops likely were trying to arrest him for that reason too.

What may be even scarier than Joe is Kamila. She's still lucid and spouts the rhetoric and hate she does. And if the Dems win, she'll be president within the year. All this crap makes me want Bill Clinton (minus Hillary) or George Bush back.

I totally agree and have said that numerous times. Unfortunately in today’s society we seem to only hear one side. If where going to politicize individual cases like Kenosha the we need to encapsulate both sides. Presently this country is so divided and being used by both parties for purely election purposes and IMO I’ve not seen one politician take any position on how to resolve it. Protesting doesn’t work I’ve seen it since Vietnam. It’s time for someone with balls to sit down and bring this country back. Neither Trump or Biden are those people.
