Is there a requirement for number of attempts to be listed? Maybe he didn’t shoot enough.

Yeah, makes no sense.

93 total is more than 79, right?

But 93 brings up a good point...this is another reason why Tyler should come back to school. He should be at the line WAY more often- needs to be a primary weapon, 8 to 10 times a game.

It’s based on per game not season total. The guy with 79 only played in 25 games
3.16 att per game

It is amazing that he doesn't get more FT. I think he doesn't try to get guys to foul him. When he is guarded tightly he just stops shooting like he did in the tournament. He did not finish well in the tournament.

Herro made 87 of 93. The guy #1 on this list only attempted 79 and made 73, WTF?! Tyler should be #1.

edit: So it's because Herro didn't avg. enough attempts per game. That is whack. You either make them or you don't on the season. What a dumbass rule if true. He made more and attempted more than the guy in first. Nice Loop hole.

I understand that. I mean that Herro should be averaging 8 or so a game. More aggressive, using pump fakes, etc.

Maybe just a bit more crafty which comes with experience.

It's ESPN 93 attempts is a large enough sample size. Its not like he went 9-10

No, it's the NCAA.

And they didn't create that standard just to spite UK and Tyler Herro. It's been the standard for decades. Stop with the persecution complex.

I didn't think it was a conspiracy or anything. Just thought it was odd that he was omitted, and didn't understand why.

Appreciate the clarification everyone gave.

A little sensitive are we, lol? It is ridiculous to shoot 100 free throws regardless of team and that's not a big enough sample size to determine. It is also laughable that this has offended you

It’s not a Kentucky conspiracy but it is kind of dumb that because someone played in fewer games that he gets counted even though he shot fewer times than a guy that played in all the games.

No, you're 100% right. And it was all ESPN or the NCAA, and they're both out to get us anyway, so what's the difference?

And whoever it was hired someone who can see the future 30 or more years ago to set a standard for this statistical category that they knew, 30 or 40 or 50 years in the future, Tyler Herro would jusssst miss out on.

And if it was a Duke or UNC player, they'd change the stupid standard just so that their player could qualify. We all know it.

Does that make you feel better?

It’s clear no one thinks this is a conspiracy, but in case anyone is wondering this has been the standard for years. It would be weird for there to be a conspiracy against the player on our team that was hyped more than anyone by announcers imo (even perhaps over his NPOY candidate teammate).

I don't think it is a conspiracy I just think if you shoot nearly 100 FT's that should qualify you. That's all I was saying @mj2k10
