SEC! SEC! SEC!

Everyone knows they cheat their asses off, but the NCAA is willing to look the other way.

I wish I could give the poster from the usc.247sports.com forum a "like" for doing the legwork on getting those Instagram pics. Not like the NCAA knows what the f--k to do with them.

So Everybody Cheats?

The irony to me in that link is it's a USC guy calling them out. Whole lot of pot meet kettle going on there.

Players like going to car shows, and take selfies in front of cars they'll buy if they get in the NFL. What's the big deal here?

Here is a news flash for a lot of people. Not ever college football player is from the ghetto or a poor family. Many of them come from middle and upper class families. Have you seen some of the vehicles your average student is driving at Rutgers or Penn State? Now imagine what their parents can afford if they didn't have to pay for college. Notice how they only posted pictures of African American players? That because it goes along with the stereo type that they all come from poor and disadvantaged families. There is no doubt that there are players at Alabama getting improper benefits just like there are players that are at Penn State or Rutgers. The reason they are recruiting so well is because they have best coach in college football and perhaps the best of all time. Just imagine if NFL allowed teams to recruit. Would you be shocked if the Patriots year in and year out had the best classes? They certainly would not have to cheat to get one.

Can't believe I have to agree with PSUnut. This means nothing without context and some kind of real investigation. Without said investigation, its probably a little racist to assume they cannot afford those rides... though I think "racist" is overused and should be reserved for truly heinous acts.

Sorry, but those vehicles are better than what your average student at Princeton drives.

I completely agree with what you are saying. My post was to point out one of the most common offenders for breaking NCAA rules calling out another one.

Hell the parking lot at our local high school looks like a new car dealer most of the time. I am also guilty of being a parent who's kids drove/drive some pretty nice rides for being college kids.

There are pictures of white players.. At least 2. Which isn't much out of 20 or so pics. The fact that Alabama's roster is probably 75% black may also have something to do with most of these pictures featuring black players. What an idiotic post.

Are you really saying these kids actually got these cars because their parents could afford them since they aren't paying for scholarships and because they're black "we" automatically assume they can't afford them therefor Bama is paying for them? I know multiple people who are well-off and NONE of them are buying cars like this for their 18-20 year old, whether they're paying for school or not.. So for you to imply that 20 some odd college kids who just happen to be playing big time football in the SEC (and in one particular program) all have parents capable of buying 6 figure cars just because they're not paying for school is the most asinine thing I have ever read. Especially when a few of these kids are PROVEN to come from disadvantaged backgrounds. A Dodge Charger, maybe.. A Rolls Royce with a Gold Daytona Rolex in the same picture? Yeah, no.. These aren't Chevy Malibu's. These are legit luxury vehicles and sports cars that most mid-life crisis having dudes would dream to have, not buy for their kid just because they're on scholarship.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a PSU fan can't put 2 and 2 together and can't see what is obviously in front of him.

Posing in front of cars is what poor people do.

I'm sure the BMW i8 and Rolls were just nice birthday gifts from Eddie Jacksons parents.

At the very minimum it's a rich booster who let him drive the car for fun.

Taking pics in front of expensive cars isn't illegal, now if they are driving the cars that is something different.

Have you been on a college campus lately? At PSU there's way more expensive sports than you would expect. I'm talking Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porsche's. It's a little comical actually watching these sports cars crawl through camps at 15 mph. The engines sound like their souls are being stolen. Apparently with the rise of the Chinese economy, students are coming over with these cars as status symbols.

Heck, back when I went to school ('95) my parents made me a deal that if I went for free they'd buy me a 'vette and we were an average middle class family. Needless to say I did not go to PSU for free and thus no 'vette. I probably could have chosen to go to a NJ school for free but apparently I wanted to go to PSU more than I wanted a 'vette.

The real question is...which of these players are actually driving around in those cars and which are just posing?
As for the cash....hmmmmm hard to explain that away.

As for PSUnut saying that not everyone is poor and parents may have bought those cars. Come on man!
My stepson came from what you would consider an upper class family. We easily could have paid for any school he may have wanted to choose. What he got to drive at school was my 12 y/o lexus es 320 with 160k miles on it. much nicer than many other kids but far from any of the cars posted above. most of the cars posted are a little more similar to the NFL player parking lot than any college I have ever been to.

If the NFL allowed recruiting, the Patriots would probably have the exact same players they have now.

How do you know they are their cars? I parked next to a Lamborghini yesterday. I could have easily took a picture in front of it. Doesn't mean it is my vehicle. Have you seen the knock off Rolexes? I doubt you would be able to tell the difference in an Instagram picture. These kids have numerous friends who are instant millionaires. It not for them to hang out with them and they love to show that off.

Or possibly one of their former teammates/friends that are in the NFL now? Having a pictures taken or driving a friends car is not an NCAA violations.

Do you always start off your day being this angry? Regardless, I hope it improves from here. Have a great weekend.
Do you always start your day by going over to your neighbors house, kicking their dog and degrading their children. Because that's pretty much what you did in your post. Hope, your problems improve, with some help they should. Good luck, I'm sure the neighbors will appreciate it.

So many naive people here. Bama wins cause Bama cheats.
When other schools starts winning too by cheating Bama tells on them to the NCAA - see Ole Miss.
When Saban coached in the NFL where players on the opposite side of the line are paid too, he sucked.

So I realized there's probably some context your missing. I've posted it here before but regardless. I grew up in south Jersey thus I would have received in-state tuition. Plus there were more scholarships available had I stayed in-state. I wasn't coming over to kick your dog or degrade children. I didn't even say I could have went to Rutgers for free (I probably couldn't have). But Glassboro was just becoming Rowan and starting their engineering school. Trenton or whatever they are now, I probably could have. It wasn't a slight at you, Rutgers, or the state of NJ.
