I feel like it's got to change at some point...that's a LOT of dough.

College World Series experimented with beer sales last year but I'm not sure what the result of said experiment was...

They sell beer at most bowl games, right? I know those aren't run by NCAA, but if they can at those, why not at basketball?

It can't be anymore out of hand than pro sports already are. Seems like the greedy NCAA is leaving money on the table or with nearby bars.

It's specifically for championships, so probably only the football playoff games are restricted these days?

Probably just as well. Someone would cause a knuckle-sammech festival. I remember telling some Marquette fans back at the hotel to enjoy that early check-out time.

Watch out for buying anything for a currently happening session...there was no reentry last time and if that ticket has been used already you're probably out of luck on getting in with it again.

I don't remember that being the case in 2000 in Austin. :-/
Yes , Don't buy a ticket for the second game of a session from someone who has exited the building........

I bought tickets through one of the smaller school's website last time the tourney was at the BOK. Great seats and very easy to purchase.

but SMU should outdo Memphis from our last NCAA.

Eh, I don't know about that. I was in the BOK that day and there were several thousand Memphis fans. I'd be surprised if SMU brings a bunch of fans. When the conference tourney was in Tulsa a few years back, there were like 12 SMU fans.

I think that was before Larry Brown and the emergence of SMU basketball. They are excited about their chances now. Expect a good SMU crowd and a smaller Baylor one.

And hello, before Shake Milton.

There's three times the number of fans just from Owasso at Reynolds when he's here than the entire crowd from ORU when they play across town.

It seemed like USC was asleep until the end of the game last night. Then they flipped the switch and wow.

I can't stand SMU, but they are so inexplicably good. THe no fouling thing boggles my mind. I enjoyed Haith's explanation in the paper this morning about how to beat them. Basically he said score more points. He don't know!

Get them in foul trouble and hope they have a bad shooting night? That's the only explanation I've got on how to beat them. I haven't seen either of those occur to them in the games I've watched though.

I also hate SMU but they're one of the best passing teams I've seen in many many years. They're seriously impressive to watch.

Agreed. Pretty to watch. And no fouls. Their games are crisp and pleasant. Wojcik would have no explanation. It would be like Native Americans seeing the Spanish galleons for the first time.

The TU band could watch some of the bands and get some new ideas instead of playing the same 5 songs 6 times each game.

With my son at some of the practices...watch NMSU guard #4. Really good, quick, great court vision and a technically good shooter (form and he didn't miss many in the open practice session).

We got them in some foul trouble but if you can't shoot %45 or more you're just not going to have a chance against them most nights.

Pretty sure Baylor is going to lose their 1st round game. Completely unfocused in their shoot around. Would be typical Baylor to overlook the 1st rd double digit seed.

SMU only dresses 10 guys for practice and you know 3 of the guys dressing are never pulling the warm ups off in a game unless they're up 30. I'm pretty sure I can take a couple of them 1v1

I pointed out his unnatural hair color when SMU came to town. He seemed unhappy that I brought it up. Maybe he has some things he needs to work on.

Funny thing is he must have missed an application because you could see some gray during the AAC tourney when they interviewed him. Today, probably ten feet from me he was an even, unnatural, orange brown all the way through

We needed a team like Northwestern who brought every alumni who had never seen them in the NCAA. USC can't even draw at home. Switch USC and Northwestern and we hit a home run.

Hell of a lot more than 12 here today. My guess would be 3-4 thousand.

I've got to stick with the AAC. SMU will have a big home court advantage as well. But USC is young and huge, maybe the tallest team in the tournament. We need the shared money.
I think tallest team has to go to Fl St

Duke transfer for SMU did not get a touch the last two possessions and they let Stewart make a wide open corner three.
