Dayton Games- Have the loosest rims in NCAA history. The NCAA regulates this so expect high scoring games.

Is there a way to quantitatively measure the "tightness" of a basketball goal?

I think they have an instrument to measure that. I've heard them say "friendly roll " ten or fifteen times !

Manning's interior defense lacking at Wake Forest. K-State /Cincy will be a dandy. Bruce Weber can coach.

That was a good game. Those two moving screens called on K-state were really questionable in my mind.

Danny's defense was awful tonight. Very weak inside. Not much speed on the perimeter. He peaked at Tulsa. Wilbekin is a poor man's Deion James.

Funny...KState boosters have raised over $5M to hire a new coach. Webber was all but gone before their win in the conference tourney and tonight's W. Going to be hard to fire him now

UC Davis advances to play Kansas. Kansas heavy favorite. USC/Providence should be another good game with winner getting SMU.

Notre Dame won barely. My bracket is intact ;-) Didn't look like a multiple winner to me.

Gonzaga doesn't look close to a #1. Down 22-19 with 3 mins left in half to a 16 seed that lost to ORU.

Interesting to see Mike White and Bryce Drew coaching in the tournament since they were the top 2 choices of the ITS board when Haith was hired. White wanted to wait on something bigger and Drew had family medical problems at the time otherwise he would be our coach.

And Steve Prohm, who would be our coach if I had just started a couple more message board threads about him.

Barkley is right. The best coaches make in-game adjustments that give them an edge. Wojcik's downfall.

Mike White was the big name. Donnie Tyndall was right behind him. Both "withdrew" their names about a day before the Haith flight tracker and rumors began. We were all pushing hard for White to be the guy from the traditional names that TU can usually lure and hire. Underwood may have been on the list but I think a Big XII or an SEC team (lower tier) had tried to lure him away and he said he was staying put. Haith was the shocker no one thought of.

Quin Snyder's name somehow got out there for a split second. I was good with that. Then the Jazz named him head coach.

I always thought of Quin as a below average coach with great hair. Now he's in the conversation for NBA coach of the year....

I wanted White. I liked Snyder and Underwood as well. I loathed Donnie Tyndall and for good reason. You could tell he was a skeezeball by simply watching his press conferences. Whoever it was that was taking him seriously in our administration needs to be removed.

He wasn't the disaster Mizzou fans made him out to be, he just wasn't Norm Stewart. Nor is Mizzou even a program at the level of Duke, UNC, & Kentucky like the Mizzou boosters want it to be. The biggest thing is they aren't Kansas or on that level even. It kills Mizzou boosters that KU has a storied basketball tradition whereas Mizzou is just Mizzou. I think Mike Anderson saw that as did Haith and that's why they bolted when they did.

Where does Indiana look? Would they try and lure Jankovich or Cronin? Or does Indiana make a play for Alford finally?

Mizzou is going to be good, really quick. With the Cuonzo Martin hire and him immediately hiring Michael Porter Sr as an assistant, will bring in the #1 rated 2017 player in Michael Porter Jr and next year Jontay Porter, his brother, rated #43 in the 2018 class. Add in Coban Porter in the 2020 class and 2 more brothers down the line, and you have the Lawson boys of Memphis on steroids.

With Martin being from E St Louis and the firing of Groce of Illinois, Martin will probably get 2017 5-star C Jeremiah Tilmon of East St Louis to get his release from Illinois and sign with Mizzou.

Add in all the great players in future classes in St Louis and KC, that Mizzou will now most likely get, including some stars we've offered along with Mizzou (Watson, Lathon, Bishop), and you have the perfect hire and perfect storm. $21 million over 7 years will insure Martin's stays until they're back to prominence.

Larry Brown was successful in hiring Danny Manning's (#1 player in nation) truck driving father. Josh Paster was successful in hiring the Lawson brothers AAU coach father and Martin will be successful, like Lorenzo Romar was going to be at Washington, before he got fired, when he hired Michael Porter SR as an assistant less than a year ago.

I guess in about 3 years either Haith or his replacement, can hire Rod Thompson in order to get his son in the 2020 class.

There needs to be an NCAA rule made about that.

Wow, great game between OSU and Michigan. It's not often you have a team hit 11 of 15 threes in the second half of a game. OSU played well enough to win on a normal shooting night. Still could have if they hadn't missed the layup on the play following Michigans first one and one miss.
