Bucknell with 14 pts in the half with 4.40 to go...weak. Not sure MichSt is that great...poor from 3 this game but on fire from inside thanks to rebounding. We have the height to compete there if we get to play them

I know what you are arguing, but this Mich St. team hasn't been that scary lately. I'm just not as scared of them as some seem to be. They appear to be trending in the wrong direction.

My point is MSU losing to UM twice doesn't mean much. If so, I guess we'd have a good reason to say UNC is just a better team than Duke.

Go ahead and sell MSU short; they're going to be a handful in the S16. An absolute handful.

And again...my point is MSU hasn't done anything impressive in a long time. Plus, when they aren't underdogs, historically they don't perform well in the tourney. They did nothing to make me think different in this Bucknell game.

Almost as silly as saying MSU CANNOT beat UM because they lost twice to them.

Again, sell them short, just don't come here and complain when/if they give Duke fits. This particular convo won't go anywhere; let's just reconvene if/when Duke plays MSU!

No one is selling them short. In fact most everyone assumes they will roll through Duke if that’s the matchup. I just think they are overrated/over valued what ever you want to call it. Doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t beat Duke. I’m not entirely sure Duke will get through RI. I just don’t think there’s anything special about Michigan State.

I won't be back to cry. If i do, I will wipe my tears away with MSU's soft as charmin schedule that got them that 3 seed in the first place.

Agree except there are a few here talking about how overrated they are (but they're not). Let's get past RI and then let's see how duke does against MSU in the S16. I'll gladly eat crow should they meet and Duke easily beats the Spartans.

The Retrievers are giving the Hoos all they can handle. They're not very good offensively, but they can play some serious defense. If they can hang close for a little while longer...it could get dicey for Virginia.

Of course it won’t be easy. I just think people get tired of hearing about state and Izzo in the tourney. As pointed out earlier he performs better when they are a lower seed and for the most part I’ve always thought they were usually the under seed due to under achieving in the regular season. It’s not like their final four teams were devoid of talent. This just feels like 13 to me when everybody thought Michigan State was an under seeded monster that was going to kick Duke’s ***. I hope Duke holds up their end and we get to see the matchup.

On another note Cal bitches to high heaven again about his draw and this couldn’t be a bigger breeze through for them to the final 4 now with a hampered UVA.
