That was pretty much the rule when I was in school except that the start time was only predicated on when you first started school, not your age or when you graduated from HS. If someone first started college when they were 30 years old, they were still eligible for 4 years of competition and it had to be completed within 5 years of their first year in college. I think a return to that rule would solve the problem. No need to put age or HS graduation dates into the equation. That just invites lawsuits.
(Keep in mind that Sadulaev is still eligible with that rule. We want to keep it that way in case he is interested.)![]()
