I'm not in the know or anything, but I hope that Joe avoids Nolf as long as possible. I feel like he can hang with just about anybody at 157. So maybe a 6 or 7 for Joe? With his lack of matches, it will be interesting to see where the committee puts him.

My take on where we want to be:
Picc best spot will be either 6/7 opposite suriano in qtrs.
Brock will most likely be 3 opposite gross in semis.
Heil will be 1
Collica will be 2, but not sure if Mayes or Jordan will be 3. Also not sure if you want to face a guy you have history with or have a new matchup.
Best case for smith is 6/7 and probably where he ends up, would be great to be opposite lavalee.
Rogers is probably around 11/12.
Looks like realbuto 2, Jordan 3 and KC will most likely me opposite on of them.
Boyd also probably 6/7 and probably opposite brooks or nickal.
Weigel also probably 6/7, not sure how 2/3 shakes out.
And finally probably another 6/7 for Schafer, 6 would be much better since medberry is so big and athletic.

Suriano forfeited at Big 10's. I don't see him being much of a factor at 125. He did get an at large today. Penn St didn't quality a 133. Their 8 are gonna have to be special to pull anything off.

Suriano most likely keeps his 2 seed, so meeting him in qtrs would be great. I hope he can wrestle, hate to see these kids get hurt, but he doesn't look like he can go, if he can't that means whoever is in the 7 will most likely face the 15 in the qtrs.

Didn't we have a similar situation with Kindig a couple years back? Didn't he get knocked down pretty big on his seed because of injury. Am I not remembering right?

Ohio st only sending 8, didn't get at larges at 125 or 157, I wonder if the committee looked down on Ryan mff in first match then wrestling back in consis.
Deans brother Josh qualified for Campbell at same weight.

EDIT: didn't realize Ohio st qualified 125 at big 10s.

I'm shocked that Oklahoma qualified 8.

I take that back, they only had 1 at large and finished 2nd in team points at the Big 12.

We need oppo of the PSU wheelhouse, Gabe Dean and NATO.

We get favorable draws, we win this!

I feel like Chandler will be key. He could make a run and beat almost anyone at the weight (Lewis). He could definitely bust a bracket if he's on, and hopefully rack up some bonus.

I also think we have a lot of guys who can wreak havoc on the backside of the bracket once they get there. We don't seem to have any kids that are going to hang their head if they lose.

can't wait to see the seeds so I can fill out my bracket and start counting points, so I can drive myself crazy for the next 8 days with "what-ifs". Hope the boss doesn't expect much work out of me!

We have to run the table on Thursday and win a high percentage of our matches Friday morning. I feel that this team very well could do that. We have to win our toss up matches and the ones we are favored to win. The first round has some tough matches, but after that they are all a challenge. I think if we wrestle to seed or better we win it. That is hard for a team with a lot of ranked wrestlers

With favorable draws, by favorable, I mean not catch a tough opponent until the quarters and then catching the "weaker" of opponents in the semis I feel;
125 - low AA
133 - Finalist
141 - Finalist
149 - Finalist
157 - mid AA
165 - mid AA
175 - mid AA
184 - mid AA
197 - low AA
285 - mid AA

If we catch tough draws all the way through;
125 - r12
133 - mid AA
141 - Finalist
149 - Finalist
157 - low AA
165 - r12
174 - r12
184 - low AA
197 - low AA
285 - low AA

To me, worst case scenario is 8 AA's which just might be enough? In this scenario, we will still need an upset of PSU hammers and our guys have to score bonus when possible.

If we fall some where in the middle of good and tough draws, I feel the outcome will be the same as the tough draw category, but we won't have to count on upsets and much bonus.

I am so excited, I am pissed I'm busy this week!

Totally agree we have to have 8 AA's plus two in the finals. Even then we will have to overcome bonus points that Penn State is bound to score. i am not as optimistic as you that we will have this many AA's but it is a goal. One disastrous round and all our dreams go poof.
