If the board legend himself came up to me on the beach in October and told me the results for 22-23' in advance, I would have been very happy. Seemed like it would be a down season, until Cam, Derek Simpson and Wolf made it a fun ride.

Just don't tell me about Minny as well or barf.

Beat lame *** NIT first round opponent.

Our OOC is embarassing, actually a complete joke that warrants no respect. It's like we're afraid to play any team that's decent. Pike needs to step it up and show some cajones. We screwed ourselves.

My tin foil hat says we were in and the committee debated and didn’t want 9 big teams in with the most teams in the tourney. So we eventually were removed. If we finished the year better they’d be fine with 9 teams from our conference. However as a bubble team not happening.

Our stats say we’re in. So it’s a judgment or optics bias.

Iowa lost as a 32 point favorite, should they be out too? We lost to seton hall by 1 point.
Be careful. We actually beat Seton Hall (by 16), Minny and...wait for it...Rutgers on your home court. Just sayin'.

All joking aside, I feel terrible for you guys. I think you got robbed. If it's any consolation, I have zero confidence we make it out of the first round. Playing Auburn, led by one of our old coaches (Bruce Pearl), in Birmingham, AL...no bueno.🙁

Almost everyone had us in. I won’t pay nearly as close attention to the so called professional pundits anymore. Who would think that Palm actually overvalued us?…lol

I actually think BAC does a better job than the committee and not because Rutgers got screwed…but because there is no politics with Bac and he does his homework.
Wachtel got it closest to right and this board skewered him.

Not having the most embarrassing collapse this season (against crappy Minnesota)? That was the difference maker. And also, we are still Rutgers and get treated as such.
Don’t crap on this team’s big wins. You only see the negative. Lots of bubble teams has bad losses. How many bubble teams had the quad 1 and 2 wins we had.

I will wait.

How many of those teams blew a double-digit lead to a far inferior team with 1 minute to go with so much on the line? Can't sugarcoat the impact of that embarrassment.

All of the teams on the bubble had a bad loss or three. Who had as many quad 1, quad 2 wins as we had? I will wait.
No need to wait. You're missing the point. We didn't need to be a part of the in or out conversation. We could have just controlled our own destiny. We didn't. We were "in" 5 weeks ago. No danger of not being in. But we ended up crapping all over ourselves and now want the committee to just let us in? Yes, they are supposed to not look at out the season ends, but I guarantee you they do. I am certain the narrative of "it is just Rutgers" made it even easier for the committee to sideline us.

Not a neutral though.

A home against Sparty, for a quad 2 win.

That’s the difference.

Our AD should have had a fit when it was announced as a home game.

Just so everyone understands.

That MSU game at MSG being a “home” game just cost us the NCAA tournament.
Wrong. It was out losses. But we should be in. JOs making the decision cost us. No way NC st and az st should be in ahead of us. Nev

Has absolutely nothing to do with scheduling! You have to win the Seton Hall and Minny games! You can't be singing and dancing up 10. Stop blaming anyone but the team; they caused their own demise; can't leave anything to the Committee.
Nah has a good deal to do with scheduling. Leaves you little room for error

You get embarrassed with basketball games?

And Won’t answer the question. That’s what I thought.

It wasn’t our losses.

It was our lack of Q1 wins to outweigh our losses.

We went through this last year and we were in because we had quality Q1 wins to outweigh our bad losses.

This should have been an additional Q1 win to put us over the top.

NC State with one Quad 1 must have all their players available because somehow we lose Mag and they don’t think we can win. Ask the Howards

Yes. That’s an additional Quad 1 win.
We're out because we **** the bed in Feb. Love coach and the guys on the team but it is what it is.

Future is still bright. Minor setback and probably big motivation to be more consistent.

Agree to disagree.

Shitting the bed in a couple games doesn’t define the resume.

Our resume from top to bottom is significantly better than multiple teams that got a bid over us.

This is called the committee put a B1G cap of 8 teams due to lack of success in the tournament. PSU’s BTT run screwed us.

Pike should be smashing the Chairman’s phone

1. BS OSU loss and don’t get me started with them “looking at in differently
2. Holding Mags injury against us. Somehow we beat the Howard’s
