That's literally what it was. We lost our 20 win reg season streak and we're headed to the NIT because of him. This season has been extremely hard as a fan and I'm sick of it.
If McMahon could hit 3-3 ft's when a game was already over just then, why couldn't he hit 1 more instead of 2-4 at home. That would've made it OT at worst.
Spalding even stepped up and hit 2-2 when the game turned into them fouling us. So did Perry.
This team is so inconsistent that it's been just an absolute dramatic and hard-to-watch season. You want to support them, but you get harped on by others when you talk about them. That's not how it works.

We average about 12 TOs per game on the season. Fifteen is not unusual.

I agree its been a tough season to watch especially in the last ten games or so. I haven't seen a Ville squad this low in skills and basketball IQ overall in a long time. And you throw in a rookie coach and it's a recipe for disappointment. Dagg Gumit , as much as I would like to see us squeeze into the tournament , on the other hand I don't with the way things are going. As I don't want to see us struggle and go down against somebody like St Bonaventure or the like in the first round. But as somebody else mentioned in here perhaps we are looking at the future , as I also believe the talent level for us over the next few years while trying to clean up this mess we are in is going to be sub-par at best.
They wanted to play for Pitino because they needed his coaching. They would have been fine under The Master, not great but better...
with Pitino, this UofL team easily has 23 wins as of right now.
I think that's probably about right. 23-8 and likely about 12-6 in the ACC.
Four more wins with a HOF coach...
23-8, and peaking, with talk of a deep run into March and another Final Four
I think looking back, we should have went with an experienced head coach. Padgett was a bad idea and for us to think it was going to be okay, was a dream.
I know you're mad OP but NC St has wins over Duke, AZ, and UNC, to name a few. The win over UNC was on the road.

We can’t keep going around saying everyone we plays sucks, because right now that’s the definition of us. We keep beating ourselves and/or giving games away. We are inconsistent and we’ve lost our minds because we’ve forgotten how to pass. How many passes did we just throw away. Every game it’s something new. Couldn’t even make it through the game.
There comes a point when you can't keep saying "Well we don't have any bad losses." That was about 3 losses ago.
19-12 isn't going to get us in. Lunardi has us at an 84% chance of getting in after tonight's loss.
IDC what DP says. Next Wednesday vs FSU is a MUST WIN (and still 20-13 may not be enough bc we aren't beating UVA). If we lose and finish 19-13 you can kiss the NCAA goodbye. You can probably kiss it goodbye now, but Lunardi is usually right and clearly if he still has us in now, he would have us in after beating FSU and losing to UVA.

I feel your pain HR I'd rather get in the NCAAs than not - but I have a real hard time putting too much emotion into it considering how poorly they've played at times this year.
I agree. Even IF this team makes the NCAAT, I think we would just be in for another "heartbreak" like the 2010 team's loss to a mediocre California squad in the first round.
That's where I am... Do I want to get in?...Sure. Do I expect it? I didn't EXPECT to make the NCAA after Pitino was fired.
And that's why I'm not emotionally invested in our prospects either way. That would probably make me more invested than some of our players...
