Unfortunately I listened to the radio and tv broadcasts today . I will start a thread on the radio guys another time. (Btw Carlin , teel and legrand had a rough day…Fooch ok)

Nbc was awful . Neither guy knew basic math. Minnesota down 10 …. 3 + 7 = 10. These guys didn’t realize minny could go for a field goal and onside kick on their last drive .
It was sad to watch and hear

Jac Collinsworth only has a job because of daddy and there’s a reason Notre Dame got rid of him

The analyst was also terribile.

On the fleck timeout on the Rutgers 4th and1
, the replay clearly showed fleck did not get the timeout off in time . The NBC guys totally flubbed it

I was at the game and the replay on the big board showed that Fleck was running down the sideline after the play had started.

Yes and the nbc crew had the replay and messed it up

I think it was the woman back judge that blew the call and NBC was silent even after a replay

I thought the NBC team was fine. Chris Collingsworth’s kid is ok as a play by play guy. Former PSU QB Michael Robinson was the analyst is decent. He is also on the NFL Network and is pretty good on that.

And about the point they couldn’t add to 10 ??

It looked very good IMO. Good camera work, lots of replays. Announcers were okay, not great, not awful. I liked them running replays to show how AK holding it a long time on the RPO really froze defenders at times. I didn't feel like there was favoritism or a lot of misidentifying players.

It was fine. Basically generic PBP guy with former player. Rinse and repeat.
Nothing bad or good to say. Vanilla as F

But Chris Simms in the studio as always can eat a big fat dick

Yes that was weird.. that timeout. I wondered if Fleck was pulling a fast one like.. if we cored and he got teh timeout that it worked out.. but if we did not score and he was given a timeout he'd argue he did it late. Like he started running but didn't actually give the T signal until after he saw we scored.

We won on NBC at home, hope the ratings were decent considering other networks had blowouts!
This will be the most fair comparison of ratings all season. Broadcast network, noon game, national, not regional, afaik.. neither team a strong national following.. for all the people who want to judge Rutgers TV ratings.. this is the one to look at.

I thought pbp was OK.

The analyst was lousy. Kept acting like Miller should catch nearly uncatchable passes(of course he did drop an easy one too). One play saying AK was pressured and had no where to throw it......when in reality he had plenty of time and a wide open miller, only to throw it high.

I say this is not as a critique of AK who I thought played a good game overall.

And then not knowing that the FG on 4th down is the obvious play there is just not knowing situational football. PBP should know it too, but analyst has to know it.

Did they show/discuss whether the MN DB was in or out of bounds on the INT near the end of the 2Q? The stadium replay looked very close, but I don't think it actually was reviewed.

it was waaaaaay better than a BTN production!! Very enjoyable to watch RU on NBC. Picture quality and definition might be 3x better than BTN. Announcers were fine , not great. Camera angles were awesome

I watched the replay and they corrected themselves on the field goal call. The announcers were not that bad IMO.

Yes and the DB clearly got a foot down in the endzone.

As directly above, me neither.
