Rose is done, glad he didn't get traded to the Lakers. Come on down KD! LeBron can come too if he wants.

Can't believe the Bulls traded Rose for peanuts.

A lot of Knicks fans on reddit are actually mad the Knicks gave up Lopez and Grant for basically one year or a broken down DRose.

Personally I don't understand this trade from either teams perspective. The Knicks gave up a talented big who paired up will with Porzingis for a broken down PG who most likely will never be close to what he used to be. The Bulls I can kind of understand in that they get a starting center and a decent bench guy in Grant but Calderon is just a salary dump and it leaves them needing someone to play PG.

I was hoping the Noel/Teague trade would happen so Nerlens could get out of that dumpster fire in Philly. Oh well.

Based on everything coming out of Philly they really want to keep Noel and trade Okafor instead. I'd like to see Noel somehow end up on a good team because I think his defense and energy would be really good for a contending team.

LOL Knicks.

I'm actually surprised they didn't give that much away for an injured and/or aging player.

Back in January, Rose's PER was around 10, and was the worst in the league among players getting 30 minutes a game. He had a relatively strong finish to the season, bumping up his scoring, PER, and shooting percentage. Saying he's a shell of his former self is too kind.

Please GOD take Dwight...

How about if the Knicks grab Nerlens Noel? Could you run him and Zinger at the same time? Nerlens obviously working on defense and rebounds, Zinger being the offensive threat. That might be too big of a lineup for today's game, though.

Also, Knicks basically stay the same in Cap Space, for those interested. Rose is roughly 20 million while Lopez and Jose are 13 and 7 million.

Rose is broken. I guess he comes off the books after this year though, so that's nice. Lopez is a good player, but he is wayyyyy overpaid. He'll be good but not a guy you can build a team around, all while keeping you from signing a guy that's better. This trade is stupid on both ends, but especially for Chicago.

Jazz giving up the 12th pick for George Hill? Wtf? Why? That's dumb. You can draft a PG with more potential easily. Teague to the Pacers... meh. Are you really getting that much better? Atlanta comes out a winner with a good PG in the wings and the 12th pick. Thank the Jazz and Pacers for making Atlanta better.

Lopez has 3 more years on his deal making 13 million the next 2 and then 14 million in his last. This season they don't clear any up, but after this year they've saved themselves 13-14 million. Just enough to do something Knicks like and mess it up.

If the Knicks sign Dwight Howard (rumored interest), is Rose-Afflalo-Melo-Porzingas-Howard a contender?

Dwight opted out of Houston because he wasn't involved enough in the offense and after several meetings with management they basically told him he would never be more involved and to leave. He is not going to be a major part of the offense if he is playing with Rose, Carmelo and Zinger.

I think it is kind of dumb for Dwight to demand to be the focal point of any offense but that is apparently what he wants.

I can't place all the blame and angst on Dwight. @Altro Cat is right.. he wasn't getting the touches and was really just needed for defense and rebounding. Harden needs to make some changes. PG's can't play with him because he has to bring the ball up.. and he HAS to take the shots, so offensive minded bigs/frontcourt players kind of get lost in the mix.

I do think Harden is a top SG.. but he can't do it all by himself. He has to relinquish the reigns a bit, which means his numbers will drop. But that's how you win.

I like what my Pacers have done. Got a better PG in Teague and traded the 20th pick for Thad Young. Might have a decent team around PG for next year.

Have been hearing stuff today about Philly pushing for the Celtics #3 pick and some of the talk involved Noel to Celtics. Guess we'll see what happens or doesn't happen later. This could be an interesting draft night yet.

Yeah, I doubt it straight up too but I'm hearing more talks are still going on between the two teams. Okafor's name also being mentioned in talks with Celtics. Just keep waiting to find out if anything happens.

Too bad Murray reclassified it would been fun to see him with this current team our title chances would sure go up.

Still believe Ulis made a mistake leaving early. He might only be a 2nd round pick and then what. Best case is a late 1st round pick. He should have stayed in school.

He will go to a better team like Spurs

He made right choice. He isn't gonna grow any. And this draft is weak

I'm with you. Pop will find creative ways to use him...IF he chooses him. Way better than getting stuck in Denver (like Murray).
