How come the left keeps leaving out the very important fact that her boyfriend fired first? Its awful what happened, maybe the cops went in a little more afraid than if it was some white guy in the burbs. But you can't riot over that. Its not some HUGELY racist crime (being scared in a black neighborhood, seperate issue).

You cant keep losing your **** everytime a black gets killed by a white. George floyd? Those white hicks that went vigilante? Sure. I get that.

I'm just telling you, half the country is not going to stand by when a criminal is killed, to watch their city burn. All the while those rioters ignoring the black on black killings in their own neighborhood. Regardless if thats right or wrong. It rings very hallow. I'm simply explaining, its pissing off half the country and is likely just dividing the country further. And my prediction is that this will ultimately push AAs backwards.
Yeah her boyfriend fired first because the plain clothes cops broke into their house and didn’t identify themselves. For all he knew they were random illegal civilian intruders.

Are you just going to sit by and let a bunch of random plains clothes people that don’t identify themselves as cops come into your house pointing guns at you and not fight back? No, you’re not. And if you do, you’re lying and a poor excuse for a man.

People have the right to protect their homes from illegal intruders. The cops had no business being there to begin with. They were at the wrong house and the person they were looking for was already in custody. If the police hadn’t been negligent, none of this would have ever happened. A woman is dead solely because of their negligence.

I wouldn't riot and make it out to be a racist crime. But I would be pissed and want answers.. Again, its a cop issue that we have, not a racist one. They are kicking the doors down of white criminals in trailer parks every day.
You would if you were in the minority and the cop who shot him was black and there was nothing done about. The protests aren't as much about the shooting as about the lack of response. There is a long history of no responses and people are tired of it. I think some mistakenly think this is the 1950s and 60s when there weren't opposite and equal responses to senseless murders of blacks by white officers.

Back to basketball please. The guys had their 3 day siesta and are ready to ball.

Lakers will close out blazers tomorrow and then on to Houston or okc. If westbrook gets back that series in round 2 should be fun.

If the Lakers win the title the LeBron vs. Jordan talk will heat up. He'd have a case with another title but I'd still go with Jordan.

I think a title with 3 different teams is very impressive. 6 is still more than 4 though. Id rank 1a and 1b at that point with slight edge to Jordan

And one guy was drunk driving through a drive-thru. Another had an arrest warrant for sexual assault. They're all criminals. It's not apples to oranges. If a meth head fires at a cop, he's likely getting shot back at. Picking out these one-off cases where a white guy wasn't shot, where a black guy was just doesn't fly.

The most you're going to get is that Cops are likely a bit more on edge walking through a black ghetto. You say racism. Possibly. But white meth-heads in the sticks don't follow a culture that promotes shooting cops. I can blame a racist cop like the one with George Floyd, I can't blame a cop for being on edge walking through the bronx.

Dude sleeping in his car cause he was drunk
Arrest warrant for sexual assault
A criminal doesn’t deserve to be shot dead. Sorry
Stupid argument. Only in this country Russia North Korea Iran people think police shooting and killing people cause they are allegedly criminals is this even being tolerated. Police get a warrant they can enter the property. Don’t mix meth heads with an absurd amount of blacks being shot and killed by police. Only here are we saying shoot first and ask questions later. We are a nation of laws. Remember law and order ? Lmfao. Just everyone else has to follow the law but you.
blacks being shot up by cops is getting really old and it’s disturbing. Police can get another job if they think their badge allows them to be above the law. The whole world is watching and laughing more importantly they are disgusted. These cops acting like kgb officers has to stop. You can come up with any excuse you want but at the end of the day blacks should be viewed as equal to whites. Case closed. I’m not saying people can’t be racist. It’s America you can be an idiot it’s fine. You put a badge on your personal bias should be thrown out the window. What’s more embarrassing is people like you who can’t stomach to admit there’s a probleM. Done with this. It’s sad when it’s on tape and we still have to debate this.

You're painting cleaner images of these guys than what happened. A clearly biased post. And that's fine. You feel that way. I'm just telling you that half of America doesn't.

Every few weeks, cops make a judgement call and a black gets shot. It's unfortunate, the cops need better training, there's areas for improvement.. but it's not racist and the gun/murder stats that many have posted here prove it. You make it sound like cops are just rounding up AA's and executing them, and it's just not true.

Whether you agree with it or not, the inner cities are going to have to clean themselves up. They're going to have to meet half way there.

There isn't a single crime that you can state committed by any of these guys worthy of the death penalty. You are okay with them being killed because you see them and anyone who looks like them as less than human. Whites would be up in arms if they saw a stray dog shot 7 times as Blake was. Yet, many of you twist yourselves into a pretzel trying to justify the murder by white cops of black men.

This is the disconnect between the two sides. No one, and I feel very confidently in saying NO one, thinks someone should die because they were drunk driving. But that's not how this works. The small time criminals escalated the situation. The guy drunk driving through a Wendy's was just going to get arrested. Breonna Taylor (or whoever) was going to get arrested. Instead both parties resisted, fought back and attempted to use a weapon on the cops. How are people not getting that?

I mean, to insulate that only blacks get killed because a small crime escalates, yikes. Again, I will continue to use this same example: some white guy got shot last month cooking drugs in the woods somewhere. He didn't deserve to die either... BUT, he likely fought the cops back, maybe pulled a weapon. You are perceived a threat based on the worst crime you're committing, not the least.

I'm guilty in derailing this thread a few times. So in summation: You're not going to agree with what I wrote, and that's your prerogative. I'm just telling you that when the side defending the criminal can't even look at least a LITTLE bit inwards for blame, it will not be received well buy the other half of the country. These riots are only dividing the country more, and creating bigger race issues. And like it or not, the left/BLM are not in a positon, currently, to have some overthrow of the government, give-us-your-money type of revolution.

You are attempting to create a false parallel. One side is losing their lives with no recourse and the other side is taking lives with no consequence and you want those who are being killed to be understanding. Did you bump your head on something? Whites are acting crazy over damaged property but can't understand why blacks are upset with the loss of lives.

So how many schools have you founded to help impoverished students like LeBron has done? How many college scholarships have you funded, like LeBron has helped fund 2,300 scholarships to Akron University? Just a couple examples.

you support evil when you support Lebron James. We’ve already established you don’t know anything about historical Record and just run your brainwashed mouth. You’re far too ignorant to converse with but I’ll say this: Many dictators who killed millions “did a few good things”. It’s not a measuring stick, it’s part of Lebron’s way of hoping everyone ignores his blatant support for child slavery and human rights violations.

You are a party hack that uses the same line of thinking to promote your cause.

You need to get educated in some way because you look like a goof every time I see you post, and it’s not just your 2020 generic political positions. Your reasoning and logic skills are in need of some direction.

Most NBA players grow up in the inner cities living the real world, unlike many of these snowflake white conservatives who like to say they live in the real world from their suburban homes.

Do you have some data to back this claim that most NBA players grow up in inner cities? By that I assume you mean in poverty (real world)?

Most NBA players are spotted at very young ages and given much in the way of support that non basketball playing Black Americans and white Americans do not receive. He is going to be a billionaire that’s using his skin color as a means to steer everyone away from his evil and immoral business endeavors.

You think Lebron had to deal with what a poor Black inner city kid or poor white kid that doesn’t play basketball had to deal with? I’ve got some swampland for you.

Lebron James, and several others, are entitled human rights violators who should be chastised their egregiously arrogant and self serving positions on the world stage.

Once again you show that in 2020, thinking requires just a little too much.

Part of the issue that no one is mentioning is the way that police unions protect bad apples in the force. They will not allow the city to fire cops who have a track record of malfeasance, I.e. the guy that put his foot on George Floyd’s neck who had 18 prior citations of inappropriate actions while on duty. It is that, it is a lack of education and morality that currently exists in our overall society.

When people are not held to a standard of common decent behavior, you end up with this type of behavior. American culture has lost their anchor of decency and we now live in an era of rampant relativism where any and all behavior is tolerated, including the destruction of personal, business and public property in the name of intimidating others into thinking or acting in certain ways.

Wouldn't that also signify that these protests and riots have been done based on a false pretense?

Answer: yes.

The league is a joke now. Obviously there will still be fans on this message board who defend the NBA, but from a cultural perspective, the league is myopic, ignorant, and pampered.

I wonder if Lebaby supports socialistic income distribution? The people he's advocating so strongly for will eventually come full circle and expect him to pony up 90% of that child slave labor income.

The American grievance industry is a joke and an insult to logical thinkers. The best part is many of these White Goodman's who advocate racial tensions then pick the side that looks nothing like them wil eventually be targeted when there's nothing left to target. They think they will be accepted in this new society of accepted racism toward anyone perceived white, when the fact is they and their children will be thrown into the body pile with everyone else.

History repeats over and over. Atrocities are repeated from one side to the next and back around. We don't teach **** in public school systems, and this is why a lot of this goes on over and over. Just take a look at the language coming from the left "Karen's", "Boomers", "old white men" ect. They are blatantly racist, but believe it's from a position of moral superiority. Their children will be the ones that suffer the most. I hope they're here to see it.

I am for equality in terms of appearance, but self hating whites are the worst of society and probably suffer from under developed IQ's. Who attempts to suffocate their own people and think good will come from it? I'm not white or black, but white people that do this just seem so short sighted. It's almost like accepted suicide.

First of all, you've admitted you support the left. Well if you do, you don't need to preach to anyone about government authority interrupting individuals. You vote for massive, uncontrollable, unaccountable, government. You don't get it both ways. The same government that oppressed Black Americans for centuries, you support growing larger and more powerful. Some of you seriously need to go back to school and this time, try private institutions where they actually teach.

Second, you are projecting. I am not white butI have white and black family members. We simply don't think they way you do. Where do you get this notion that all of these people undervalue someone based on skin color?

try higher education sometime, you'll learn about psychological projection. Essentially, it means you would be the one crossing the street every time you see a black man. You can't subconsciously deal with your inner thoughts, so you project them to self comfort because inside, you're a mess. You'll deny it, but the only racist people I know are coming from your side and being awful to people based on the way they look. It's disgusting and I hope you clowns stop this foolish behavior at some point.

Newsflash, LeBron (since you bring him up) wasn’t a basketball prodigy his entire life. Far from it. He was born to a single 16-year-old mother and had a father who has never been involved in his life. His mother bounced from job to job, and the two from one inner city apartment to another, trying to survive. His mother gave him away at 9 years old to live with an AAU football coach so he could have a better life.

Not sure if Russ being back will nuke the Rockets flow, but man these boycotts couldn't have come at a better time for Houston. I honestly think the series might have been over otherwise.

I wouldn’t be as annoyed by what the NBA has become if they didn’t expose themselves as hypocritical China bootlickers

that is a different can of worms and shows just how big of a hypocrite LBJ is and so many in the NBA
LBJ and the rest keep silent because it greatly affects their income
not one time have any of them called out China and their human rights atrocities

Some new details on the Blake story:

The cops involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake — which touched off a fresh wave of angry, anti-police sentiment across the country — were attempting to arrest him for violating a restraining order stemming from an alleged sexual assault, The Post has learned.

Blake, 29, was forbidden from going to the Kenosha home of his alleged victim from the May 3 incident, and police were dispatched Sunday following a 911 call saying he was there.

The responding officers were aware he had an open warrant for felony sexual assault, according to dispatch records and the Kenosha Professional Police Association, which released a statement on the incident on Friday.

That police union statement also claimed that Blake was armed with a knife at the time of the shooting — and had put one cop in a headlock and shrugged off two Taser attempts while resisting arrest.

Blake, who was paralyzed in the shooting, had been handcuffed to his hospital bed due to the warrant, which was vacated Friday, according to a statement released by his lawyer, Benjamin Crump. His restraints were removed, but he is still facing the criminal charges, Crump said.

Blake is accused in the criminal complaint, which was obtained by The Post, of breaking into the home of a woman he knew and sexually assaulting her.

The victim, who is only identified by her initials in the paperwork, told police she was asleep in bed with one of her children when Blake came into the room around 6 a.m. and allegedly said “I want my sh-t,” the record states.

She told cops Blake then used his finger to sexually assault her, sniffed it and said, “Smells like you’ve been with other men,” the criminal complaint alleges.

The officer who took her statement said she “had a very difficult time telling him this and cried as she told how the defendant assaulted her.”

The alleged victim said Blake “penetrating her digitally caused her pain and humiliation and was done without her consent” and she was “very humiliated and upset by the sexual assault,” the record states.

She told police she “was upset but collected herself” and then allegedly ran out the front door after Blake, the complaint says. She then realized her car was missing, checked her purse and saw the keys were missing and then “immediately called 911,” the complaint alleges.

The alleged victim told cops she has known him for eight years and claims that he physically assaults her “around twice a year when he drinks heavily.”

Police filed charges against him for felony sexual assault, trespassing and domestic abuse in July when a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Sunday, within three minutes of responding to the 911 call, Blake was shot 7 times in the back as he attempted to get into his car.

Calls to Blake’s fiance, Crump and the Kenosha Police Department have gone unreturned.
