The funny thing is, LeBron actually thinks they’re punishing someone with their walkout. I wouldn’t be surprised, when the NBA does come back, if ratings aren’t through the floor going forward. They’re not punishing anyone but themselves, idiots!!!

People are going to move on to football in a few weeks. They might want to reconsider cause the change the want isn't gonna happen. If you asked half of them what happened the will quote some ******** thats not true. I've been shot zero times, mostly because I keep myself and those close to me in a safe environment. If this guy had been such a great citizen, when the cops got there he should have told them his children are with me let's get them to another family member and than take me in. I have a hard time believing he done everything he could to put them in a safe situation.I not naive to think the cops are the only ones in the wrong here.

By the book to shoot an unarmed man in the back 7 times for trying to break up a fight? That's attempted murder dude.

You're behind on the facts. That "only trying to break up a fight" narrative was not accurate. The police were called there because of him, and he was wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants, including felony sex crime charges ...which I'm sure is why he tried to flee the cops.

None of which justifies the shooting, btw, but let's not keep spreading false info.

I’m cool with them ending the playoffs, cyberpunk 2077 is coming in a few months, sports at the end of the day aren’t that important sorry. I think it’d be funny if they just advanced the blazers and mavericks and moved on, I doubt that happens though because Lebron is Adam Silver. I don’t think NBA ratings will ever go back to what they once were.

But look on the bright side. When the NBA resumes in a few months, racism will finally be a thing of the past.

Silver would probably invite Zion and the Pelicans back into the bubble to take Lakers place.

This is how I wish they'd handle it. If the Lakers and Clippers won't play then, fine, declare them as forfeits and play on without those two teams. I'd be quite happy to see a team like Utah, Houston or Dallas win the West instead of an LA team.

But I don't think that'll happen. I can't see them playing on without both LA teams (and King Lebron). Either they get everyone to play or they'll shut it down.

Back to reruns of Justified,or Yellowstone I guess, this is a mess.I don't think these guys really believe giving up the playoffs for somebody they believe is an innocent black guy getting shot is gonna bring about change. I read on here before as someone said play stupid games win stupid prizes. NBA needs to think long bout this because some of us might not tune back in for a while.Problem is NFL is gonna do the same thing. Watching sports is definitely getting harder to do. Atleast they can't take music from us.

Maybe people are sick of seeing others get gunned down by trigger happy cops. I applaud the nba players. Something has to be done.
Maybe they shouldn't be od'ing on fentanyl and have weapons in their cars. Making better decisions goes a long way toward not getting shot. NBA is completely and totally meaningless. Most Americans don't even know they're playing. Even if they do, they don't miss it.
I haven't watched a single minute of a NFL game in 3+ years. Don't miss it and got lots of family time back. Priorities FTW.

George Floyd, was loaded out of his mind and was screaming “I can’t breathe” before he was even touched. He had 6 memorials/funerals. When other people couldn’t have a service for their own parents.

Jacob Blake was a violent criminal and sexually abusive. (I’m sure the young girl he assaulted doesn’t feel sympathy for him)

It is amazing who some people choose as their heroes.

I barely watched the NBA to begin with, so this doesn’t really do anything for me. I can’t imagine people will hurry back to their televisions to watch when they do play.

Unfortunately everything is politicized. And you know damn well there are people on the liberal side of this that are thinking,

“what the hell are we supporting?”

But they don’t say anything because they can’t admit how ridiculous this whole thing is.

Where does this **** stop this year, you know if the election don't go thier way they gonna do the same thing riot and burn and destroy properties. What's happened to this country.

George Floyd and Jacob Blake certainly had checkered pasts. But what was done to them was still avoidable. The officer who leaned on Floyd's neck was going against all trained protocol. You never do that. And with Blake, he should have obeyed commands...no excuse there. But there were 3 police and one of him. They couldn't restrain him? He was walking away from them to the car. Get him before he gets to the car if you are really trying to restrain them. Again...they are going against their training.

I understand many here don't like the NBA. And i certainly see why. It's not everyone's cup of tea and it's certainly a different game than college. But with what happened last night, this isn't isolated to the NBA. MLB, WNBA, MLS boycotted too. And there are some reports suggesting NHL and NFL are getting involved too.

I wouldn’t be as annoyed by what the NBA has become if they didn’t expose themselves as hypocritical China bootlickers
They literally lost hundreds of millions to China because they didn’t kick out Morey. They also put out a statement saying they would not stop their players and personnel from making statements about China or any other issue like that.

Yep. Daryl Morey was definitely on the right side of things there and still is! He didn't deserve the backlash. China disagreed with him "standing with Hong Kong". And that's fine. But China tried to cancel Daryl Morey and it damn near worked. Instead, to protect their investment, the NBA administration backtracked and bowed down to the Chinese government ignoring everything they have done and everything Hong Kong is trying to do.

As others have said, who these players seem to take such drastic stands for is baffling. I’m sure if I got shot by the police, Lebron couldn’t care less and I’ve never hurt anyone in my life.

I hope white people walk away from the nba, then we’ll see how their bottom lines look. I don’t know too many thugs in the hood buying season ticket plans

Didn’t see one so I wanted to post one for all of the NBA fans. It would be cool if we could get this started and talk everyday. Especially with the NBA bubble about to start.

I’ll go first. I’m a Sixers fan. Have been my whole life. Was born and raised in Kentucky but spent a portion of my childhood in Germantown and just fell in love with Philadelphia and their sports teams. I say it pretty often but as an NBA fan I’ve been through the absolute bottom of what a fandom experience can be like. From the Process to drafting Markelle Fultz and him developing nerve damage and the yips and forgetting how to play basketball to Ben Simmons refusing to shoot because he doesn’t want to. To last year with the only game winning buzzer beater in game 7 of playoffs history. Sixers fans have been through it all lol. I’d like to hear about who you all are fans of and maybe we can politely debate some NBA topics and for the older generation who may not care for the NBA anymore I’d love to hear old stories about former players too!
Who cares? Hope they never play another game.

Daryl Morey, the NBA's best GM and a TRUE activist who tackling REAL issues. I think that man deserves to be handed the 2020 title, IMO.

No question, black America is NOT what drives the NBA. Once they piss off too many white people, watch their gravy train come to a screeching halt. I can absolutely live without ever seeing or supporting another NBA game again in my lifetime.

I wonder how 'league minimum' salary blacks in the NBA feel regarding the boycott. Lebron and others can handle it, no problem. But some guys don't make anywhere near that kind of money. They might like to keep playing. Maybe Lebron could think about those guys for a second. Just a thought.

In the interest of full disclosure, in the past i was a casual NBA fan. Been to maybe 5-6 games in person, would watch an occasional regular season game and would get interested in the playoffs. This is the first time in 40 years that i did not watch a single playoff game and will not watch one. These NBA guys are so unbelievably dumb and don't realize they are simply tools of the left. I was watching a little bit of a show last night where they were interviewing a coach from the WNBA (at least I think that is who said it - also full disclosure, I have never watched a WNBA game). This white coach was saying how she realized that since 2016 (again I think she was the one saying this, it may have been one of the talking heads) how racism has been a problem and her players have helped her see it. Then when the Bucks players made their announcement they added people need to vote. I can't remember what happened specifically that caused the US to become racist in 2016, but when you listen to this stuff and then say it is not driven by politics you can't be serious. They never answer why they don't care when hundreds of blacks are killed in Chicago every year. I hope they cancel the whole season.

I can agree on something being done .. you think a basketball team refusing to play is going to make any difference at all , I mean 0.0001% difference ? hell no
It’s not just refusing to play though. That’s just what people are mainly talking about. Last night When they were supposed to be playing they were on the phone with the Wisconsin AG asking what tangible things they can do. Today they have started the process of turning the arenas into voting sites, especially in areas where voting sites have been drastically reduced recently.
They know just skipping a basketball game isn’t going to change anything but it’s an outward symbol that they want to and are making efforts to try and take real action.

They bowed down to China because they were going to lose millions. No fans now and very few people watching so not much to lose. Let's see what happens next year. I am sure LeBron will get over his hissy fit and the NBA will be back to normal. I won't be watching and I hope many others will follow suit.

They literally lost millions. China did not air NBA games this season because the NBA did not reprimand Morey.

What do you think is the issue with turning arenas into voting sites?
