Dallas fans have to be concerned with the toughness of Porzingis. You don’t miss two playoff games because of soreness .

Either the injury is worse than they are letting on or he is extremely soft .

Knicks will eventually be the winners of that trade.. might not be for a few years, but it was 100% the righr move.

Something interesting going on. First, Montrez called Luka a white boy, then Beverley says Luka talks too much, and now there's footage of Morris potentially stepping on Luka's injured foot on purpose (although, kinda inconclusive).

Seems to be a lot of unwarranted ill-will against Luka coming from his peers. Could this be a bit of a microcosm of what we're seeing in society today?

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just competitive spirit. I've recently defended the NBA and their freedom to take whatever stance they want.. but this seems suspect.

Marqueef Morris trying to step on Luka's ankle was a cheap shot no doubt. Maybe there is some jealousy toward Luka. But I'm one who remembers the Bad Boy Piston days, and that was nothing compared to what those guys did to Bird, Jordan, etc. Hell, I'm by far the biggest Mavs fan on here and I even think Luka talks too much sometimes. Dirk never had that problem.

None of that has anything to do with what Doc was talking about in terms of what is going on in this country as a whole. Black people show up to protest peacefully (I know not all have been peaceful), cops in riot gear show up to meet them. White guys with assault rifles threaten the Governor or show up to "protect" some ******** statue of a traitor, nothing happens, certainly no tear gas or rubber bullets.

Love basketball but the constant politics is a big turn off. The nba wants you to vote Democrat and that's fine but we don't need to hear it. Their ratings are way down and alienating half of the country won't help.

Agreed. I like Doc Rivers, I like Kawhi and some of their other players. But their unlikable players make the team as a whole just look like bitches. Yesterday in the first quarter, Harrel got called for a foul he didn't agree with...complained during the break in action while Luka headed to the free throw line. During his first attempt, Harrel clapped to disrupt Luka's rhythm. He missed, Harrel, Beverly, others all cheered.

Now this isn't against the rules, but that's acting incredibly childish. Even the ref stopped the action and said something to Harrel which caused a bigger reaction from Harrel. This behavior by him and what Beverly does just about every time he's on the court makes them unlikable.

It's not a likeable team for sure. IDK how I feel about Kawhi.. I actually think the lack of personality is a drawback, at least for me.

I got no problem with Kawhi. He isn't a dirty player and he always sounds intelligent and respectful in his interviews. He is a killer on the court. I've never cared for trash talk, whether it be Bird, Jordan, or anyone else. I was a Dr. J guy growing up, classy and cool. Kawhi's personality (or lack of) isn't going to get him a lot of endorsement deals though. I agree Clippers as a whole aren't the most likeable team.

FYI, Republicans are the minority.

Doesn't really matter. You have your reps, dems, independents, and so forth. The fact that ratings are tanking just shows fans want to watch sports for sports. I still watch but turn the channel if anything other than sports is discussed. They have a right to discuss it and I applaud that right but people have a right to change the channel as well.

Luka confirming that he thinks Morris step was intentional. Also said he was excessively talking **** to him all game..

I alluded to it yesterday and I will outright say it today: in light of whats happening with BLM protestests, and the NBA players supporting that movement, there is going to be a portion of NBA players that are not happy a white guy could be the burgeoning face of the NBA.

And like i said, ive taken up for both sides of this political issue.. but this seems suspect. Blast away.

Marcus Morris isn’t exactly a sterling example of a positive sport in the first place.

The clippers have a lot of dirty players no doubt. And nothing like rich spoiled elitists athletes threatening to not go to work 🙄. I support the right to talk about it, albeit dont want the politics in it, and our right to change channel. If theu boycott their ratings will tank monumentally in my opinion.

Back to basketball and sad due to the world and the way the nba is run we cannot just talk that but rockets better win today my friend. Okc has surprised me these last 2 games.

I won't be blasting you because there is certainly some truth to your statement. I will say that I have been listening to the reaction from the rest of the league regarding Luka's emergence, and I haven't heard anything from guys like Lebron, Kawhi, Barkley, Jet, Shaq, etc. that indicates they feel this way. I'm sure some of the lower level guys like Morris and Montrezl (sic) feel a certain amount of jealousy because Luka is the new "Great White Hope" despite the fact that he isn't even an American. They aren't wrong to feel that way either.

Two things in this country have historically done more than anything else to help people overcome prejudice and fear of others who are different than they are. Those two things are sports and music. Certainly not religion, because most churches are still segregated. The current state of popular music isn't exactly helping unite us either, but that's a different topic for a different discussion. That leaves us with sports to help generate meaningful discussion. It is "altogether fitting and proper" that the NBA should be taking a stand for what is right.
