Portland should have let Damian Lillard go one on one instead of using a pick which kept causing him to get doubled.

Down the stretch Jokic marched everything Dame did

the lakers should experiment. unless lebron can play 45 minutes, take 30-35 shots and hit half of them that is. they already abused ad by modern standards. they gave him the most minutes between two small injuries to get wins. now he may have something worse.

Not sure Kemba matters, TBH. Hes not the answer that the Celtics, nor I, thought he'd be. And I'd argue that Brooklyn is still working on coming back from it's own injuries. Full health, all year? Brooklyn is taxing that ***.

Yep. My goodness. You know, maybe this is karma for Lebron trying to move around so much. I get that his first stint in Cleveland needed to be fixed.. But when you move around this much, the team you land on inevitably gives up assets. Lebron may have played himself.
He did get a championship out of it. Can't win every year.

Embiid out with a torn meniscus. Not a significant injury for his career, but quite a significant injury for this playoffs. Hopefully they can manage it and he'll be able to play. Probably wont lose the series to the Wizards but the 2nd round will be a lot tougher obviously.

Was one title worth Brandon Ingram (all star), Lonzo Ball (starter) and Josh Hart (Solid 6th man) plus three first round picks (one of which was the #4 overall).
Yes. For all anyone knows the Lakers may wind up coming back in the series and winning. If not, they can come back next year and win it. Too many knee jerk reactions these days with sports. Some team loses a game or two and its time to blow it all up and start over.

Umm yeah. Not even a question.
All the Lakers were guaranteed out of that trade was the one remaining year on AD's contract. They could have waited one year and got him as a free agent. Also Davis could have walked away if he didn't like the team chemistry. So they gave up a lot for one year.

What??? Since Davis resigned that makes your entire “what could have happened” moot. At the end of his contract Davis would have played 6 seasons and won a title. Anyone in their right mind would take that over the players mentioned and some draft picks. Like i said, not even a question.

The Lakers could have had Davis as a free agent if the had just waited a year. Instead they mortgaged their future for one year. On the other hand the Pelicans got all those players and picks for one of a guy who had no intention of resigning with them with on year left one his contract.

Lakers- won the title
Pelicans- still in the lottery, but they do have those players and picks lol.

Anyone with a brain knows who came out ahead.

WTH is wrong with Randle? He’s just chucking up shots. Nothing from the flow of the game. It’s like training for the Olympics as a shot-putter. Gotta change it fast.

We won't know for sure until all those picks are made and have time to develop. Also lets see what the Lakers look a few years from now without any first round picks and LeBron retired. Davis had the worst year of his career since his rookie season. He his a great player but not in street clothes. Could be a win-win for both teams.

This Knicks and Hawks game deserves to go 7 games with all the hate going on between them but I doubt it makes it to 7.

Hell 6 looking unlikely

The Hawks defense was the difference in this series. They gave up on average 13 pts less per game than they did in the regular season. 111 in regular season to 98(Knicks avg 107 in reg season) this series plus the Knicks didn't do a very good job on Young who scored like 140 points+ in the 5 games.

Good respect between the two teams after the game .

Trae was still driving to the hoop late in the game which was risky all things considered .

Nate McMillan did a heck of a job.

Just to add to my previous post.

The Hawks in the regular season versus the Knicks gave up 113, 123, and 122(137 when counting OT). So they gave up even more than their 111 season average when playing the Knicks. They lost all 3 games giving up an average of 119 pts a game(not counting OT).

Anyone stay up and watch that game AD and LeBron with a strong 2nd half. Awesome finish. Best part 40 games in 40 nights starting Sunday I luv it. Gotta have something to watch before they start hiking footballs.
I don’t have to stay up. I love what AD did for UK, but I hate the Lakers. Dynasty? I don’t think so. Booker should have been playing those last 5 minutes in 2015. Whatever happened to the Harrison twins anyway?
