Rondo has been doing it for a while. Nowadays it seems like you get credited an assist if you were the last person to touch the ball before someone scored instead of your pass leading to the score. Seen Westbrook make a pass and the guy hold it 4 seconds in the triple threat position before jacking up a shot at the end of the clock. They gave him the assist. lol
