You're either still drunk from last night, or you put Whiskey in your Wheaties this morning...which is it? I kid, kind of.

I'm going with Warriors in five, although I wouldn't be surprised if it goes four. Had Houston managed to sneak by GS, then I think we would have had a little better series.

Put it this way....if the Cavs have any chance to make it a series (and I don't mean win, I just mean make it a series), they absolutely must win game one or two.
I think the Cavs would have beaten the Rockets, all the Rockets want to play is iso-ball. Harden/CP3 in an iso-game against Lebron?? I like my chances. At least the Cavs defense would have a chance in a 1 on 1 game.

But regardless, the Cavs defense is broken, and the Warriors run a real sophisticated offense. The Cavs have no chance at slowing down the Warriors, unless Lebron morphs into a superhero, which I wouldn't completely rule out.

I’ll take the warriors in 6 :( ...the 2 teams I root against play each other. With a lot of luck, and a tad bit of rigging, and a super hero James, I’ll take the Cavs in 7 lol. What should happen and the normal. I take the Warriors in 4 which (should) happen. But more games more money. Yea I said that. imo this series will tell us a lot about the NBA. Yea maybe I’m crazy, but I just don’t trust the integrity.

I expect the Warriors to win in 5. They'll get the first 2 at home, then not care about one of the game in Cleveland before closing out in front of their own fans. LeBron is great, but this Cavs team is just awful (though a lot of that can be laid at the feet of GM LeBron).

Warriors just don't seem as dominant this year, especially in the playoffs. I still think they win in 6. I would love to see it go 7, then you never know.

I think the most interesting question is...if this series goes 7, but the Warriors win, does Lebron get Finals MVP?? Has the losing team ever been awarded a Finals MVP?
That scenario is in play if Lebron is heroic with this terrible roster.

The fact that Golden St. has so many weapons would also help LeBron out here since there might not be an obvious choice among their all stars.

It would shock the world if the Cavs took game 1 and make for a very interesting next day listening to talk shows and what they say then. The Goat James mask will be out !

Cleveland HAD to get that game. So much went wrong for them down the stretch. The changed charge call, George Hill missing the free throw, and obviously what JR did at the end of regulation won't be forgotten for years to come. Lebron dropped 50 and they still lost. Brutal.

When I saw your post I looked it up. Jerry West won the first ever NBA Finals MVP and he is the only player to win NBA Finals MVP as a member of the losing team.

Ouch. I expect game 2 to be a Golden State blowout. Cavs have to be emotionally drained. And perhaps without Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love due to suspensions. Buuut, the Cavs did lose game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals in OT, and then came back to beat GS in OT in game 2....

A few things....

One....that was a game that Cleveland had to have just to make this a series. I agree with the poster above who said Golden State wins big in game two. That's a deflating loss for the Cavs.

Two....I really like the NBA, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to some of their faults. Under no scenario, do I think it's a good rule to go back and look at a foul call, let alone having the authority to CHANGE the call. When people make fun of the NBA for something stupid like that, I and others, simply can't defend them. Dumb, dumb rule.

Three....George Hill and JR Smith really screwed the pooch last night. Hill, at least to me, looked like he wanted nothing to do with being at the free throw line late in the game. He kind of short-armed the first free throw, too. The second barely got to the rim. And JR Smith....where in the hell is your head at in that situation? How do you not know where your team stands? Just complete and utter lack of awareness on the biggest basketball stage in the world.

All that being said, it was a fun game....but I think just about everyone in the world knew Golden State wasn't going to let that one slip through their fingers a second, or even third, time.

Lebron put on quite a performance. Love was solid, but what in the world was JR Smith doing, waving at some girls in the stands?
I didn't expect the call to get overturned. Bam, bam play. With some of the other no calls that favored GS, it seemed like the refs on the Lebron charge call huddled over at the monitor and said "this sh&@ ain't supposed to happen." GS has to win this game!"
Draymond Green. Really a true pos. Fouls Lebron, obviously in the face, yet screams at everyone, cussing, throwing these tantrums like he's innocent.
He's out there for the drama, and the ratings that come with his theatrics.

It's not like I really like Cleveland, but Lebron is special. One of the best ever. I just despise the Warriors. They remind me of the 90's Bulls. Seem to get the calls when they need one, make the clutch play when one is needed, and Kerr kind of reminds me of Phil Jackson.

I was completely unaware something like that could even take place. Just floored me that the officials 1) could go to the monitor, and 2) make that drastic of a change.

That play is a judgment call....not something black and white like a ball going out on Player A or Player B. I heard some sports radio folks already making fun of the NBA about it this morning, and I can't say I blame them. I mean, what about player-control fouls? Durant was completely disheveled going to the hoop and looked like a fish out of water.

Coming from a guy that used to really like this Golden State team, I just hate what they’ve become. Part of it is that I look at the KD move as one of the weakest moves in sports history, but mainly cause they win with absolutely no grace at all. They have an all star team and still almost lost to one man, but still celebrate obnoxiously. I’m a newer generation fan that normally is all for trash talking, but they just rub me the wrong way. Can’t wait for Lebron to go to Philly or Houston so that he’ll actually have a team around him to shut them up.

The reversal of the Durant charge is beyond mind boggling. I get being able to review to see if he is out of the restricted area, but to be able to change such a bang-bang call is completely ridiculous and makes a mockery of the game. We could have had a genuinely entertaining series, and that is now more than likely out the window because of a terrible call. I agree with those that think GS wins game 2 handily.

The joy of watching is already diminished for me because Draymond Green is so terrible in every way. He takes a lot of fun out of it.

What I don’t understand is how can the NBA let guys just beat and bang as much as they do but call a blocking foul if a guys feet aren’t perfectly set and basically just gets ran over. It’s a charge. Or if you want to let them play? Make it a no call. Be consistent . Its like all the 3 point fouls that get called for the shooter jumping into the defender. That and all the ticky tacky fouls they call but let them beat the heck out of each other down low is just mind blowing to me . Maybe a Ref will punch Green in the face and I’ll get the best of both worlds . Ref gets suspended and Geen gets a black eye lol. I don’t think I will ever fully trust the integrity of pro sports. Hell any. It’s not just this. I’ve always had conspiracies if you want to call it something. I don’t trust people hell. I know I’m in a very very small minority but it’s just to many ways to influence stuff from everybody. Refs need bigger consequences. If they have any now.

"win with no grace at all" is best way to summarize GSW, they play like punks. KD going to 73 win team is just flat out laughable. GSW is Steph's team and KD jumped on the bandwagon, MVP's don't do that.

It is part of the huge problem plaguing reffing in the NBA: Star Treatment. If the rules were applied fairly to every player on the court, the overall play would improve. If LBJ knows that he can take X number of steps, and run over people, why should he pass? If Harden knows he can run into a defender and draw a foul, why shouldn't he do that?
.
If the rules were actually applied, and done across the board without regard for relative "Star" status, the game play would be greatly improved over time. In the short run, there would be a dip. But it would ultimately work to the benefit of the entire league.

I did say this series is going to open a lot of eyes and tell us a lot about the NBA lol hopefully changes .

The only fix will be when we let a computer ref the game, with 2-4 on court physical presences. I would further allow for a central committee of actual human eyeballs to resolve highly contested issues, with the on court types being empowered to call Techs for taunting, language, etc.

Until then, stars are simply too valuable to the NBA, as in all sports.

After rewatching the entire game I’m all for a computer ref lol. I’m trying to think of some futuristic stuff to actually do, but I’m stuck . I got no ideas. Maybe some full body uniforms that give off an alarm from to much contact, or change colors when touched momentarily . Lmao yea I got nothing...

JR got what he deserved, after undercutting Klay like he did. Guys have had their knees blown out like that.

Lebron blocked, the right call was made. Too bad he has the most useless teammates ever or he'd be up 1-0 right about now.

3 wins till Quinn is a NBA champion.

You mean after JR obviously accidentally slipped and then hit Klay’s lower leg? And then immediately went to help Klay up and make sure he’s okay? Come on.

JR has always been a bonehead, so it’s not shocking that he made the biggest blunder ever at the end of the game. But if anyone deserves something bad to happen to them, it’s Draymond!

That's one perspective. Another is that he embellished a lil bit to make contact. I'm not saying he was just to hurt Klay. But part of him was trying to make contact.

I've never claimed Draymond to be a saint. I don't approve of his chatter. But I love his game!

GS should sit all the starters next game to give Cleveland a win. The series needs to at least go five games.
