Yeah I mean I have no animosity towards him and I think he has all star potential, but if I’m an NBA GM I’d be very dubious of drafting a kid who seems to work hard at not playing the game. What I think about is what if Malik Newman sat out? He probably would’ve gone top 10. Where is that dude now? Newman was every bit as highly thought of coming out of HS as Sharpe was. Too many questions and too many unknowns, but realistically the Blazers don’t have a ton to lose so I do understand the pick.

I'm not a Sharpe man, but if you can go #7 without playing college ball, why the heck not (from the players POV). If he dropped way down, the way some of the experts were saying, the story woulda been he got bad advice, There he goes. 2010, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 also didn't have a player from the national champs selected in top 10. So recently trend has been one has but some years it hasn't happened.
