It's to the point where LeBron is established as the best player in the league and the MVP goes to the next best player of that particular season.

And Ben Simmons was not a rookie. Makes sense for a guy who couldn't keep a 2.0 at LSU to win rookie of the year in his second NBA season, I guess.
