My name is Nazr Tahiru Mohammed. I am a 1st generation AMERICAN born in Chicago to 2 Muslim Ghanaian immigrants. That means I am an African (no Hyphen) American (born in Chicago) Muslim (practicing Islam with no affiliation with the Nation of Islam but I do consider them brothers and sisters) Black Man (English is the only language I speak). I was told by so many people thru social media the last few days to “Go back to your country” that I feel that I needed to clear things up (smh). Home for me usually means Chicago with Kentucky being my 2nd home. Though visiting Ghana for the second time in my life is also in the plans but it’s still hard for me to call that home.

I've met Nazr on several occasions. Super nice guy. I'm very proud he's a former Wildcat. This kind of stuff breaks my heart.

I'm embarrassed for how, for lack of a better term, "rednecky" this nation has become, but I'll live with it until it stops. Hating each other and being afraid of anything different than what you see in the mirror is no way to live life, but in today's "black and white with no gray area" culture, it's sadly the norm. Pick a side/position and dig your heels in deep.

Nazr Mohammed is welcome in my home, neighborhood, state and nation any time as far as I'm concerned.

immigrants are not the problem, illegal immigrants are
muslims are not the problem, radical muslim terrorists are (for that matter all terrorists are)

our country was founded on freedom of religion and built through immigration

shame on those people for attacking an American citizen and from all accounts a fine man to boot

I don't know what you're trying to say there, Randers. (The Kentucky Kid)

I'm about as pasty white as a person can get. I don't tolerate discrimination. I don't really care for black militants, white militants, brown militants, yellow militants and so forth.

Just be cool. The world would be a better place if every damn one of us could adhere to those three simple words.

Well said. Why do some people insist that the temporary ban has to do
with race or religion? We just need are are getting better screening of
immigrants from some nations (7) that are so radical.

Cool that he considers Kentucky his second home but its unspeakably sad that he had to write that. It makes me embarrassed to be white.
So you are "assuming" that only white people are objecting? That is the way liberals want you to think so you feel guilty for being white...like Nazr is a black American I'm a white American and this problem was started WAY before DT!! Nothing to feel guilty about.

I know you mean well, but people who say that sot of thing are usually overcompensating/exaggerating to make a point. You can be embarrassed by the actions of others, but ashamed of your own genetics seems counter productive.

Ridiculous. So you just assume that those saying things to him were white? I am so sick of hearing this white privilege garbage. I served this country. I have worked my whole adult life. I paid my bills. I paid my taxes. If you are ashamed of yourself, be ashamed. What exactly does being white have to do with it? This PC stuff makes me sick. Good grief.
This stuff is some kind of infectious disease. My great-great grandparents were poor working people. My grandparents were poor working people. My parents were poor working people. Privileged. Amazing ignorance nowadays.

Do some of you think 9/11 was fake news? Guess what it wasn't, and that was perpetuated by Muslim extremist. For me as a middle schooler watching my fellow Americans jumping from a burning building was terrible. Do I think myself or anyone I love will be killed by Muslim extremist? No. But Americans will, so if vetting them more thoroughly makes my fellow Americans safe well good. I would rather hurt someone's feelings than to see dead Americans at the hands of these terrorists. If you don't like it, and you think this makes me a "racist" so be it.

I am not ashamed because of my skin color but I am alarmed at the increasing number of people in this world who say and do things to fellow human beings that would bring tears to Jesus if he were walking among us today. There is no race, religion, ethnicity or political party in this world that has a monopoly on prejudice or stupidity. There is plenty to go around. The tipping point always occurs when good people choose to stand by and remain silent as it takes place in front of them.

Nazr....you or any Muslim are welcome to live next door to me. I'm white, I'm a conservative Christian, but color or creed doesn't alter the fact that we came from the same Creator. I'm sad that our nation can't figure that out.

Agree with this, totally. It is a shame that people do not, or will not, understand that a ban of immigration, for 7 countries, is a temporary ban, until they can figure a way to safely allow immigrants to enter the US. The ban was not on Muslims, since 90% of Muslims live in countries not banned. Of these 7, Libya and Iran are enemies, and the other 5 cannot legitimately vet people in their own countries. Hopefully, this process will keep the US from having the same problems as France and Germany. Religion should not be a target, extremist militants should be.

You mean like burning them alive? Drowning them in cages?Crucifying little kids for playing? Beheading people? Or calling someone a name?

No...not really. Religon is a scam used by some to gain power...typically over sheep.

I mean, the Catholic church allowed kids to be raped...looked the other way. There are numerous examples, but religion is a vehicle to exploit the weak.

And I have always been a huge fan of Nazr...

Ashamed of being white isn't a figure of speech. Your just brainwashed by the liberal media.
I have to agree. I'm pretty sure I've never been the beneficiary of the so-called "white privilege". It's just a bunch of crap thrown together by a group of self-loathing morons and others looking for a handout. The very people that rant and rave about inclusivity and treating everyone the same are the most hateful, close-minded bunch on the planet. In other words, free speech for me but not for thee.

Been happening since 1000 BC. But today, is it in the name of religion
or just a power play? I think it's war as usual for gain of territory, wealth,\and power.
When did you hear a candidate say "I just want to serve my country"
and you really believed him/her?

You said it, not me. I ain't backing off what I said. I think you are ashamed. You buy this garbage. You jumped to the conclusion all on your own.
Nair is one of the most beloved players ar UK. I never worried about his beliefs. Doubt he ever worried about mine. I was a big fan of his then and now. This country afforded him his opportunities and he accomplished it by dedication and hard work. Doubtful that happens where his family originated. Hence they here. Thankful to live in a country where that is possible. Hang your head in shame if you want.
