The moment they successfully expand the SCOTUS they will start confiscating all firearms and we will complete the transition to China level totalitarianism.
This is not a life I want to live and I’d rather die fighting for freedom honestly.

This was true pre-pandemic but those tides have started to shift a bit. Cali has a $24b tax deficit they face in 2023 which means they will have to raise taxes and New York is losing corporate HQ tax revenue by the month, although they seem to have found some surplus for 2023 ($7.1b) (haven't done any research to figure out where it's coming from but good news comparing to the previous two years)

I saw a good map showing relocation figures by state yesterday and Florida, Texas and Tennessee at least would likely be ok. Pretty eye opening to see the amount of corporate and household relocations happening. Would expect more southern states to move to no-income tax to attract the same relocations.

Personally, I don't think national divorce is viable for a bunch of reasons but the biggest would de defense. We have too many international enemies now and I'd expect we'd likely see an invasion almost immediately.

While I understand why England voted Brexit, I'd argue there are a ton of good lessons to learn from that disaster. Things like simple border control for international flights are difficult challenges and likely not even thought about.

We can’t do simple border control now, so that can only get better. .

I think something like nullification is more likely. But, even that is not likely. We have made our beds and must lie in it. Withholding funds from states that go "rogue" or the Russia treatment would devastate any state that "secedes" or nullifies. Texas and Tennessee have passed bill allowing for their own state's vault to store PMs. They have not built them.
